We don't need to refuse twice today? Oh, good. Maybe it wasn't a gift, or the Dragon had misunderstood? Maiya was just glad to be able to enjoy some sake for free. Delicious Crab sake!

She sits up and nods in agreement with the others, crossing her arms. "Most kind indeed. I too would like to partake please Isawa-sama."

When she is offered a cup she extends both hands to receive it. In her newly found good mood she sways ever so slightly left and right as she cradles it before her. Maiya was happy.

"A fine idea, Isawa-sama." Touki said in his low monotone, even as he cast his eye around the others. Well, he normally thought of a friend as someone you'd hit with a bokken at least once, but perhaps sharing sake in the bath qualified. Wait, am I friends with Asako Kashiwagi? It was a daunting thought.

Touki moved closer, staying in a catlike crouch; well, catlike except for being submerged in water, of course. He gave his hands a little shake as they left the water, shedding droplets, in preparation for accepting a cup. "Ah, after you, Kaiu-samas." He nodded to the other two.

When a cup is offered to her, Amaya accepts it with a polite "Thank you."

She carefully swirls the liquid around for a bit and takes a small sip.

"Hm. A good way to make friends."

Drinking slowly, the Crab leans back and watches the other samurai over her cup.

"New friends and new traditions." Miwako smiled. "Kampai!"

She drank and sat back.

She turned to Amaya and grinned. "Do you recognise the taste?" It was from a Crab brewery and they had tried it before, so there was every possibility.

Miwako's cheers caught her attention and she lifted her own cup to join in. "Kampai!"

Touki took his cup with both hands. "Thank you, Isawa-sama." He briefly smiled at the enthusiasm of the two, but his own reaction was more like Amaya's. He took a careful sip, letting the taste linger on his tongue a few moments before swallowing.

As he sat back, he wasn't quite smiling, but he at least looked pleasantly relaxed. "New friends." He said agreeably. He was silent for a few moments, his expression distant.

He cleared his throat. "I will admit, I can't tell one sake from another." He said. "Moon Drop sake... where is that from?"

"One of the Yasuki sake works." she answered. "It's the primary offering of the sake house I oversee."

"New friends. Kampai." She lifts her cup for the toast.

At her cousin's question she turns her head to respond, but the Phoenix is faster. With a shrug of her shoulders, the Crab acknowledges that answering is now a moot point.

"Tastes good." She says instead and takes another sip.

After a delightful long sip she smacks her lips and agreed with her cousin. "It does. Nostalgic too." She remembered the Lion and shifted her attention over to him. "Nostalgic for a Crab." Maiya adds by way of explanation.

She has then focused on Miwako. "So, you are a healer Isawa-sama? You and Akodo-sama know each other, desho?"

She nodded. "I am. But, the water kami do most of the healing. Akodo-sama was wounded defending Toshi no Omoidoso. I had the honor of treating his injuries."

Maiya clapped her right hand, a fist, into her open left. "Oh! Does that mean Akodo Touki-sama is the Touki-sama many are praising around the city?" She asks, her tone turning somewhat excited and impressed.

That remark makes Amaya turn towards her cousin with a questioning "Hm?"

She had not known about anything like that. And wouldn't really be interested either, if not for the man being possibly present right here right now and sharing a bath with them.

Wait a moment. Didn't Mai-chan say something about a really amazing fighter called Touki earlier? That makes Amaya sit up a bit straighter and take a closer look at the Lion.

Touki smiled, just a little, and just for a moment.

He cleared his throat. "In truth, Matsu Kōgyoku and Suzume Chihaya deserve more of the praise, as they carried me to the healer's tent, where Isawa-sama could perform her miracles." He inclined his head to Miwako once more. "But yes, I did aid in the defense of the gates, and slew several of the attackers before I was overcome."

"It would have been better if I had infused you with the kami before the battle, as I did with Suzume Chihaya-sama." she shrugged. "You would have been safer, at least."

"Akodo-sama is very humble. It sounds like you prevailed against tough odds." Not knowing more of the battle she didn't have anything else to really add. She might have liked to hear about it, but time and place mattered.

Miwako had said something she found strange. "Ano, what is infusing someone with the kami?"

Amaya listens to the conversation with great curiosity. It must have been a tough won battle, if they are speaking about it in such terms.

"It is possible to ask the kami to stay with a person, to heal them at a later time, or aid them in some other way." she explained.
