And oops, realized the rolls were closer than they should have been - forgot my Free Raise for Earth spells. Oh, well, still passed.

I would assume Earth spirits are Earth Kami, but couldn't swear to it.

Well, then my viewpoint would be to take Friend of the Elements. You get the super cool role play of having these kami always around you and fun stories you can have with them, and you get the most benefit mechanically of any of the trait rolls since it is Earth.

The person who actually took the Advantage gets the boost. Kharmic Tie doesn't have to be two-way, it just often is because people plan characters together.

Like the two Hida 'zerker siblings who had it at The Wall...
