The Bayushi bows to the newcomer, happy to be able to avoid the question of who the Lion she was with was.

"Oh, it wasn't idle conversation at all. You don't give yourself enough credit, Akodo-san! I was confused and these two game to my rescue. I think I did not get enough sleep last night, as I was marching through the snow to the safety of this wonderful city."

She turns fully toward the newcomer. "A pleasure to meet you."

"This one is Mirumoto Wasako," she said with a small smile. "I am already acquainted Agasha-sama but it is a pleasure meet you all. There's no issue with an idle conversation...or otherwise so long it's a pleasant occasion, me?"

She did curiously glanced around the gardens, wondering what was the rescue that she missed. "...Were there wolves or bears?"

The Scorpion's shoulders slump briefly as if she just sighed, but surely not.

"Bayushi-sama is a newcomer to the city, and became lost." Touki explained gently. "Agashi-sama and I were going to help her find her way."

He shot the Bayushi a curious glance. "But it seems that Bayushi-sama would prefer to stay here and talk. And she is welcome to do so." Touki's expression became bland. "It's perfectly safe. No wolves or bears."

Poemu bowed to her fellow Dragon. Unfortunately for Kiku, she was quite persistent in her curiosity. The way here can be quite safe as well, if one has a Matsu bushi with them. Sumimasen, Bayushi-sama, I must have missed the Matsu's name..."

"I think it was Matsu Ichika. As you can tell, I was very flustered and not thinking straight. To think I was unsafe in the city. Laughable. I can be a bit silly at times." Nothing about her voice sounds like she can be silly at times, but she still sounds sincere. Just... serious.

She bows to each samurai.

"I'm feeling better and much safer. I'm sure I can make my own way to a room. Your help is appreciated."

The answer only left Poemu thoughtful before she bowed. "Matsu Ichika... if I see her, I will need to thank her for helping you Bayushi-sama. After all that's happened, it's reasonable to feel unease. I would still feel better if we saw you to the castle, if for no other reason than the company, but if you wish otherwise... then I will have to look forward to speaking another time."

She let a touch of disappointment touch her face a moment.

She gave a curious glance at Kiku, wondering about her reaction before looking to the others.

"I would imagine so. It seems with the number of refugees coming in, it's likely to scare away most of the wildlife from warning it. However, I do sympathize about getting lost here. I just arrived two days ago myself and I'm still trying to acquaint myself with the surroundings. There are far more stores here than the local village, that's for certain."

Touki gave the Bayushi a concerned frown. "Are you quite sure, Bayushi-sama? It would be no trouble, and I would otherwise grow concerned."

He glanced at Poemu, and then at Wasako, eyebrows raised. Was this strange? It seemed strange.

"I am quite sure. I couldn't possibly take the wonderful sounds of your flute away from this lovely place, and you've all made it so clear that things are still safe inside the city. Thank you for that. I feel at ease."

Poemu caught Touki's glance and gave a nearly imperceptible nod, concern still on her face. Finally she gave a bow to both him and Wasako. "I had come out for fresh air. The music was enjoyable Akodo-san, arigato, and it was good seeing you again as well Mirumoto-san. I had thought about returning to the Shiro, and safe or not, I would most certainly feel a lot more at ease with company."

She looked to Kiku. "For my sake Bayushi-sama, would you see me to the Shiro?"

For a moment, Poemu thinks she sees something dark and calculating behind Kiku's eyes, but her expression remains the same.

"Of course, Agasha-sama. Most walks are improved with company"

"Did you want me to accompany you, Agasha-sama?" Touki's concerned frown had deepened, his brows drawing down. He glanced at Poemi's hip, which had one sword, and then down at his, which had two.

Wasako found herself wordlessly glance at Touki, Kiku and Poemu in alternation, wondering if there was some sort of story there. Touki's words were true but it did make her concern if there was the possibility of bears and wolves around.

She gave Poemu a bow, "This one can be of assistance as well, Agasha-sama. Of course, only if you deem it necessary. I gather that Akodo-san is a very good representative of our honoured hosts."

Poemu nodded softly to both offers, but kept her eyes on the Bayushi, smiling softly. "I could never turn down an offer from a host so honorably given, and Mirumoto-san is always welcome to accompany me. While i am glad that we have put you at ease Bayushi-san, it seems fate has us all journeying together regardless, hai?"

"It does seem that way. I wonder what else fate may have in store for those of in the city?"

She nods to each samurai present. "Shall we?"

She found herself frowning pensively at the mention of the refugees as she had just come from the streets herself. It would likely everyone did, it was hard to ignore what was brewing there.

Wasako nodded at Kiku, "I could only guess that the governor had the arduous task of hosting his guests this season already...but then to have this many more people attend his court and show up at the gates, his duties must have doubled at the very least. It must be daunting for anyone."

"I rest confident in the Clan that speaks at such length about Leadership shall find its course in such trying times." Then, a moment later. "But yes, it must be quite hard. Even if the foe were a normal army."

Touki cleared his throat. "I assure you, you may have every confidence in the Lion's leadership, and it's forces. We will not fail." His deep voice was stern. It seemed to be his duty to say.

He adjusted his cloak, shaking some of the gathered snow loose. "Very well. Allow me to lead the way." He bowed to each in turn, in order of status, before setting a slow but steady pace towards the keep.

Poemu nodded, falling into step behind Touki, making certain the other two samurai-ko were on step and not left behind.
