Both ready, Norikami slid forward to attack. A series of strikes probed Wasako's defense. He took care, expecting her wakizashi to enter the fight at any moment. The third hit he took a risk and fully closed the distance, surprised her defense hadn't held. The blow struck her shoulder, but not too hard.

When the strike came from Norikami, she held her bokken against her forearm and parried the strike as best she could to deflect it. She cast a cautious look at Norikami as shifted in her stance. She did not bring another weapon with her, although favoured using the bokken with one hand as she held it pointed at Norikami while her other hand aided her in maintaining concentration. She then dashed forward with a few strikes in the air before colliding one at Norikami with a side strike.

oh-ho she's got talent.

Norikami honestly wasn't used to getting hit on the return so quickly. He decided to play it safe for once and see what she would do. Standing back he drew in a breath and readied a strike that might cause some pain.

Homura paused as the Dragon and Scorpion began their spar, taking a step back.

"If you will excuse me mina-sama, I would take some time to reflect on the lessons shared today" she bowed deeply, then retreated to sit and take some time to think on the sparring, as well as the bruise....which still hurt like heck.

Wasako seemed ready to step in for another offence and found the Scorpion seemingly hanging back at the ready. She blinked curiously at the move at first and after some hesitation, seemingly chose to adopt the same tactic. She raised her bokken up over her head and held up an open palm forward as she posed herself at the ready.

The moment had come and Norikami was satisfied at what he'd seen. Now if only he can win the match! He rushed in, giving a proper shout and struck through Wasako's guard and hooking her leg with the end of his bokken to steal her stance and leave her on the ground.

"Whoa!" she cried out before she was swept to the floor as planned by Norikami.

She laid there with a momentary frown before she rolled herself back to get her feet back on the ground before standing to. Feeling she should go on the defensive, she took several steps back to give herself more distance as she gestured Norikami to approached with an open hand.

She stood, surprised. He was pleased she had the presence of mind to back away, but as she beckoned he answered properly and launched forward with everything he had. Two hard clashes and he knocked her bokken far enough aside to catch her between the neck and shoulder with the third blow.

Wasako raised her bokken and positioned it across her body in attempts to deflect the worst of what was coming toward her as Norikami took an aggressive forward. It was a hard strike that sent her staggering back. It was over quickly, although an eventful match. After giving her bokken a customary swing before putting it by her side, she bowed politely in defeat. "It seems like the match is yours, Bayushi-san?"

"I might have won this time, but that's because i figured out quick i couldn't fight you straight up, i had to strategize and i was lucky enough for it to pan out", he bowed to her. "I can see why your sensei might have favored you."

She found herself tilting her head curiously at why he doubted himself to resort to such tactics. "It has indeed one well. Yet, I'm sure Bayushi-san would have succeeded in any way he would have approached the situation. Especially, if he was fought foes requiring a bigger weapon?"

"Somtimes...what i meant was is that your attack is faster than mine, I'm not used to that", he winked. "Thank you for the match. It was a pleasing way to spend the morning. Do you have any other subjects aside your famed artisan skills and the blade which you enjoy?"

He sounded a little proper.. on the cheekier side.

"I do...but I don't know how Bayushi-san might feel when it comes to entering the refuge of the mind and contemplation. Despite not being a monk myself, it is one of the pastimes on the mountain that I'm from."

Wasako attempted the balance the handle of the bokken before quickly catching it with her hand. Figuring that they were likely done with sparing, it was perhaps best to return the practice weapons before the locals might get annoyed for using their gear.

"I don't think I'm famed yet for my artisan skills, I've yet to find a sponsor," she frowned faintly at the idea. "However, since our talk yesterday, I've had the pleasure of meeting an actual artisan in my clan. Have you been acquainted with Togashi Mai yet, by chance?"

She spoke further about the artist after returning the bokken to the rack. "Togashi-san is a tattoo artist and a very fascinating one at that. She does requests from people but she also has this fascinating talent of conjuring up ideas from people's tales, making them into tattoos. Admittedly, I have yet to see her craft from myself but she's very eager to find more volunteers. She had been doing this for a year, outside of the Dragon lands, and it seems she has found some success locally."

"Tattoos are considered a traditional art form among the dragon, aren't they?" He asked as if unsure, but he was pretty sure he was right.

"They are seen around the Dragon lands but I wouldn't say that they are exactly commonplace. The Togashi monks and their sacred art are viewed in high regard, which extends even to those outside of the Order. As for me, I don't have any myself," she said with a shake of her head.
