"Possibly, though despite their self-righteous nature, I find the Lion to be staunch allies up until now."

"Is it not wise to always be wary?" Setsuna asked. They crossed their arms and glanced at the Shosuro's hair. "Perhaps that comb has been poisoned all along. Although for now, it has done quite well for your hair."

"It is a wise lesson, truth be told." She turned somber. "Especially in trying times like these. We can trust no one, not even our ancestors, it seems."

She ran her fingers through her hair. "Well, I'll accept your poison in this case, for some proper grooming."

"Ancestry is not something I ever could have predicted being an issue," Setsuna admitted. They then shrugged. "I trust the Lion to do as they please."

The Bayushi gave a few, deep laughs. "The show must go on."

"Why yes, I did not think that Heraldry would ever be a practical art in my lifetime, outside of Asako and Ikoma circles." She shook her head, as the comb went through another round through her hair.

"And the Kitsu. Well, ancestry, that is." Setsuna laughed. Once. "They must be upset that now everyone can commune with the ancestors." That was a major distortion of the facts indeed.

"I suppose you are not always on the stage, so to speak. But we have many new actors coming to the stage, the stage of the world." Setsuna shrugged. "Or rather, they are making their returning debut."

Sara listened intently. "Hm, I suppose that is one way to look at it. Perhaps you should ask Kitsu Izumi-sama about her opinion on freeform communication."

She slowly placed the comb down. "Hm, possibly, though I am not worried about the returned actresses. The bushi now, those concern me more."

"If I ever feel the need to insult a Kitsu, I will," Setsuna stated plainly. They then shrugged. "Oh, my flowery language was not clear. I was supposing we are all actors in this realm, playing roles in some game for the heavens. That being said, such a metaphor does diminish your own talents."

Sara smirked. "Not at all. It just means I have to be the best in a larger pool." She sighed as she touched her hair. "Arigatou for your help Bayushi-san. Hopefully we'll be able to meet in the future."

"Of course. You may ask for my assistance at any time." Of course, Sara could always ask. Whether or not that would be answered was an entirely different point.

She smiled and bowed, after which she turned to leave.

"What would I have to fear?" Setsuna teased. However, they made no effort to continue the conversation. They returned the bow, reverent again but with the hands opposite, and then simply stood there.
