Degarashi rose from the bow with a faint smile. "I hope that when next we meet, times are a bit less troublesome for us both. May the fortunes bless you, Suzume-sama."

With one more bow, the Scorpion took his leave to travel elsewhere in the gardens.

"That, that sounds familiar somehow. A Crane saying?" He begins moving again. It starts out at a normal walking rate, but a spasm of coughing slows him soon.

"If the Crane would lay claim to it, it would not be my place to keep it from them. Yet, knowledgeable words belong to the larger realm of man and Kami, I would think,"she said as they walked.

Stopping with concern she allowed him to regain himself after the coughing fit, "Are you sure you will be alright Isawa-sama?"

"I am not ill, if that is what you fear. The kami took a higher price than usual, some little time back, and I can no longer breath as well as I used to."

"I have no fear for myself Isawa-sama," she said with the concern coloring her voice. "However, this toll that you pay is quite high. Such a cough that it makes even movement such as this difficult.. I am concerned for your future well being."

"If the kami determined this is the price I must pay for the blessing to the whole Empire, who am I to argue?"

"May, not argue, but there must yet be something greater that can be done because I fear that this price, from the appearance of this cough, will cost your life in the end," she said.

"Water, perhaps? I may yet go and grab you some water. I think it is best, for now, that you would gather some rest.. perhaps meditation might better suit your body as it is now?"

"Water soothes my throat slightly, but it is not in my throat the cough starts. Rather, *cough*, it is in my lungs. One is weakened, and the other, well, it doesn't seem to work well, or at all some days. And, yes, I may not long survive. But, my actions, the ones for which I pay this price, have lead to a minor clan being pushed higher than *cough* they normally would, and a shrine being sanctified."

"Meditation, then, may yet offer you some aid. Centering your body and soul, it offers you calm where you may not otherwise find it," she said, glancing off.

"First, allow me to see to the needs of your body and ensure that it is supplied the water it needs to continue. Then, perhaps, we might attempt mediation for a time together? I shall guide you, if you need, Isawa-sama."

"I am *cough,cough,cough* - whatever he had been about to say is stopped by coughs.

When he regains control "Perhaps that is for the best, after all, Togashi-san."

"Await me here then, Isawa-sama, I shall return soon with water and then we may begin," she assures him and awaits his further acceptance before venturing off quickly to track down the water.

He nods, and waits, clinging to his staff. When she returns the image will suggest that the only thing keeping him on his feet is said staff.

Some time later she returned with a small pitcher of water and a cup, borrowed as they both were she would surely return them later.

"Have you practiced proper meditation before Isawa-sama?" she asked, pouring the water in the cup and handing it to him.

"A few times, but not something I focus on outside major need." The drink soothed his throat a bit.

"There is a need in all lives for the breath of fresh air meditation offers the mind and soul," she said, smiling and offering to take back the cup so he needn't worry for it.

"Shall I allow you to meditate yourself alongside me, or shall I aid in guiding you on this meditation?"

"Any aid *cough* would be greatly appreciated." He looks around for a place to sit - the snowy ground did not inspire much confidence with his health.

"Would you prefer we took this someplace warmer, Isawa-sama?" she said, noticing perhaps the breath of hesitation that might have lasted a second. "I am certain I might escort you there quickly enough."

"It is a Garden. Surely there is a stone or three about we may use or uncover, yes?"

"Then let us search, and when we have prepared the area I shall guide you through a most basic meditation to help you calm your body and mind. With any luck you may find yourself relieved of some of your burden," she said with a slight smile. Lending a hand to escorting him there.
