Either was is fine. Assumption is general quarters, but plenty of samurai like to keep them close at hand, so it's not a surprise if they stay in the same room.

Are the temples set up to host monk houseguests (however humbly)? I was wondering if it makes sense to RP relocating out of the palace to make room for the sudden influx of displaced high-rankers...

Speaks Naga, sometimes. Carries: Jade pendant, walking staff, small pocketknife, divination coins. Padded jacket if working outdoors... maybe.

Yup, they have rooms for monks if you want to stay there.

Would Pilgrimming shugenja also be able to stay at the Temple?

Sure, though the quarters are fairly sparse.

Given that Izumi is holding it? Probably about a 10.

How many threads can we have on a given Time Slot in a given Place?

The usual rule is one, but if it has a private location (like personal quarters) you can split them up. If that has changed, I'm sure MS will correct me.

We should generally limit it to one thread at one time in one place. This is particularly true for "Open" threads.

Obviously there are some cases where multiple are okay (like when people have threads in their room), but those splinter threads should always mark a specific place so there's still some element of separation.

Please try to keep things in one thread where possible.

When the slaughter at Morikage Toshi happened, did the Steel Chrysanthemum's followers have their own heraldry, or were they wearing their clans normal colors and mons and such?

Just for clarification, if I am using Commerce to haggle, it counts as a Social Skill, correct?

Is there a place where the messenger pigeons would be located? Is it a reasonable goal to try to get them in order/the young ones trained up for use?

Nope, no Social tag on the Commerce Skill.

It might be worth pming the person in charge of the character you're doing the investigation roll on to explain what you're intending to do with your rolls for clarity. That thread is fast moving and the GMs are super busy.
