Yukarin smirked softly at the beckoning Kaiu, following Maiya's suggestion... and a bit more. She moved under the covers so that she wasn't just closer, but lying on top of of her.

"And yes, we are both here right now." she leaned in to nip Maiya's earlobe lightly before whispering in her ear, "And just the two of us, as long as you don't make too much noise and wake up your cousin."

"Really? There are a lot of things about you I can and will compliment Yasuki-sama."

She had to muffle a chuckle as Yukarin crawled atop her and laid down. Now she was especially warm. With a little smile she joined her arms around the courtier's back. However, the earlobe nip has her shyly looking away and unsure what to say.

Maiya fumbled for a response. "Ano, I can be quiet sometimes Yasuki-sama." She finally manages. Her gaze returns to the smaller woman as she begins stroking her back once more.

"So you are feeling better, ne?" She adds, seeing Yukarin in good spirits and not looking so achy anymore.

"Hai, a little bit. Now that I'm less stiff and achy feeling. Anyways, just call me Yukarin, please; I've nothing to hide from you at the moment, so be as familiar as you want, neh?"

Truthfully, Maiya's shy response was driving Yukarin to be a bit more bold than usual, even with things as they were.

"H-hai." She paused a moment before giving it a try. "Yuka... rin-sama." Maiya nods once, still blushing a little.

Her smile grew as she nuzzled into Yukarin. For a battle hardened bushi, let alone a berserker when angry, she was remarkably gentle in private. "Of course Yukarin-sama is welcome to call me Maiya and to be familiar too, ne?"

"Not Maiya-chan? You are being awfully cute, after all."

Her arms wrapped gently around Maiya's shoulders and neck so she could cradle the Kaiu woman to her a bit, and lightly stroke the hair on the back of her head.

"That's fine." She mumbles bashfully.

Sighing softly from being held, she begins stroking Yukarin's back in wider arcs, her fingertips moving over the courtier's shoulders and sides.

"I like that... Eto, I like all of this." She admits, taking a peek between them and then up to Yukarin's face.

"All of this, hm? I do too, Maiya-chan. I am very comfortable... and you are very comforting."

Leaning up then in, Yukarin stole a long kiss, holding it while holding herself tighter to Maiya.

As far as Maiya was concerned the day was off to a really good start! She hadn't thought too deeply on her feelings before or really considered anything romantic with the very cute Yasuki courtier she'd met, but here they were kissing in her futon. It was much, much better than drills and dull guard duties. Here she was warm and comfortable. Even with her eyes closed she felt safe and secure. Was that how most samurai outside the Crab felt in their homes, ignorant of the eternal war with the South? Whatever. She liked it.

"You're not getting away now Yukarin-sama..."

To show she liked it she chased Yukarin's lips when the long kiss finally broke. She'd be quiet, but there was no way she wasn't return the courtier's affection.
