Mei sighs visibly.

"Any other news? Do who know who all survived the Winter Court? News of how the city will handle the siege or what all of us guests should do?"

"There is not a list of survivors, no one had made one at least. There are many that were present there that I have seen on the flight, but many more I have not." Poemu sighed softly. "With all the peasant refugees alongside the samurai, I think such a task would be near impossible."

Mei shakes her head.

"I am glad you are safe, but I admit I had hoped for things to be a bit more...organized. A census taken for example. A leader for the court. Knowledge of who is commanding the Lion forces and what they expect of us."

"There has been little time and opportunity to do so. There has been too much fighting, too much fleeing." She gave a soft sigh. "We've been here a few days, but each one had has ill weather, battles, or some other problem. Even if one were to try to make a census, the streets are so packed, and so dangerous, it would be nearly impossible."

"Were there not guards at the gate when you first arrived? They could have easily had a team counting and asking names. Your friendliness and optimism are nice, Agasha-sama, but this is just pure incompetence without excuse."

"The only people that can speak to that are our hosts. If the Governor is indisposed, then I am not certain who you would talk to Miya-sama." Poemu shrugged a little. Perhaps she had been running so long she'd grown used to it.

Tamaki eventually speaks out, once again pointing out how the spirits of Toshigoku are known to act. The message is same as always. It is a bad idea to let them take control.

That brought a disappointed look to the Agasha. "Was that today? Ah, I had been so busy I had forgotten to ask! Shosuro-san will be disappointed, though likely not as much as I that I missed a performance of hers. Things have been so mixed up... she is quite talented on the stage you know."

The Dragon nodded at that. "She was at the Imperial winter court in Morikage Toshi, and she taught me some of her art as well."

Looking around at the court once more, she turned back to Mei and bowed. "Miya-sama, arigato for the conversation. This one should get going. Fortune's carry you."

Giving a smile, Poemu made her
