The Moto having been introduced said, “Hai, Moto-san will suffice.” He knew how difficult his name could be for these outsiders. While amusing he had no stomach for listening to them butcher it, over… and over again.

"Togashi-san, your tattoos are beautiful!" Eika let her eyes trace over the tattoos, admiring each as a piece of artwork, and perhaps admiring the way they wrapped around the Dragon, as well. "This one is always impressed with the skill of the Dragon and their needles."

"Kasuga Seitouna-sama, Bayushi Degarashi-sama, Moto-san, Matsu Eika-sama," she bows her head. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintances. May, thank you Matsu Eika-sama, that you have an appreciation for them emboldens my spirit ever more."

"I am Togashi Mai, an artisan following the way of the Tattoo among my order. Though I yet see it is not only the art of my order that is yet represented here," she said, glancing between the Moto and the Kasuga.

Seitouna lifts his arm out of the water, droplets glistening over the ink that marks it.

"Togashi-san is free to inspect the art, of course, although I would not presume to compare what I bear to what she and hers do."

Eika blushes as she looks over the Kasuga's arm and lower to see if there are any more tattoos. Oh, kami... he's big... she caught sight of him below the water's surface. She sunk down deeper in the bath to hide her reddened face.

Mai glanced first to the Moto, tilting her head curiously before Seitouna spoke. Once he did she turned to him first, bowing her head, "I would be gladdened to see by what measure another artisan has performed the work."

Sliding through the pool she ensured she was yet close enough to view the tattoo unobstructed, the detail of it, but far enough for propriety. Once there she looked back to Batzurig, "May, I am yet one who performs art such as this Moto-san," she indicated for ease the now joined tattoo she yet held above the water, her left arm.

On it the image of a forest scene with a Lion and a rising sun, yet the rising sun was still incomplete. Above that there was the subtle presence of flames, but no more was yet finished.

"That's a special person?" he said with some surprise.

"Whom do you mean, sayyed?" asks the Tortoise.

He sees Eika blush and sink, and he gives a quick wink.

Eika reddened further, but came up to look at the Lion tattoo. "He's gorgeous! You captured the spirit of a Lion perfectly." The beastmaster was impressed.

"Her clan does tattoos? Just seems an odd profession to dedicate to a whole clan," he said honestly.

"May, it is a tradition of my order and one closely knit with our path. It is our way to find our own path, and through it to gain enlightenment Moto-san," she explained, briefly.

Before turning her attention quickly back to Eika, bowing her head, "You honor me yet greatly with your praise, Matsu Eika-sama."

The Moto just nodded, and closed his eyes as he had nothing else to add on the subject.

"I remember mine took many days, working on the pitching deck in short sessions as duties aboard allowed. Were yours similar in the application, Togashi-san?"

Seitouna's eyes flicker to the Lion again after he says it, though. But only for a moment.

Mai nodded to the question, quirking a brow at the eyes flickering away but continuing nonetheless, "Many, what work I have done on my arm thus far has taken all of the start of the day thus far. That I have only taken the time apart for other matters, to maintain a presence among those who speak of current events."

Eika lay back, closing her eyes and enjoying the warmth. She, too, knew little about the art.

"So you've done all this in the time since coming to Nikesake? Impressive."

Seitouna inclines his head.

"I have but made some additions, and begun work on another, but that is all," she said, glancing aside for a moment. "May, it is not much in volume," she indicates the pieces with a shifting of her arm, the Lion well made into the forest scene, the mostly complete rising sun, and the lines above.

"And I have created the forest scene, here down at my wrist, before we yet evacuated Toshi no Omoidoso. Though I admit I have improved it some that it would be a fitting connection with yet what I have added to it. May I.. I believe I may have once more made light of the work I have yet done. I would ask that you forgive me for this, minna-sama. For those I yet do this work for would be dishonored if I admitted to anything less than what is yet true."

Eika cracks an eye open as she listens to them talk. Perhaps, I should look into getting a tattoo... She lets the barely open eye glance over the Kasuga again.

"There is nothing to forgive, Togashi-san, at least so far as I can see. And it is still impressive work, the more so given interruptions and distractions of the past days."

Seitouna rolls his wrist, popping it.
