Ryuji took a sip of wine.

She blushes a bit more intensively, and cover her face with her... arm pad, in lack of a silk sleeve. "Be careful for that which you seek, Otomo-san. Some thorns might be poisonous."

Horonigai giggles. "Otomo-san. Shitsurei, ne. I might be going over my boundaries." The girl, lifts the plum wine cup and says. "A toast, to friendship."

"Kampai."

He raised his cup of wine to her.

"You know that we Otomo are snakes. We are accustomed to poison. To friendship. Kampai."

After they drank.

"If I was too forward I do beg your forgiveness."

She downs the cup at once and places it upside down on the table, meaning she's done with drinking for today.

Horonigai replies, "U-un." The Seppun shakes her head, and clears out, "As much flattery may be shallow, I could find footing."

She blinks, and puts a hand over her chest. "Chigau. Don't take it wrong. I meant that I am very pleased with your sincerity, besides being so spoiled with compliments."

With bow, she finishes. "I am sure Otomo-san is a man of duty. That is why I should excuse myself. It is getting late and I don't want to be a bother."

Ok..no more plum wine. That was way too blunt...Even for me!

He looked at her and was serious in his words but he did not want them to come out that way.

"Oh my...I...I...had...I understand if you have to leave."

Baka! I don't want her to leave!

She does get stuck for a moment, but moves on not to embarrass Ryuji. "Hai, hai. I am too comfortable. Not proper for a Miharu."

The Seppun bows again and excuses for leaving, "Thank you for the meal once again. It was an honor. Osakini, shitsurei shimashita."

Ryuji sighed. He stood and bowed deeply to her. He wanted to apologize again but thought better of it.

"Domo arigatou gozaimashita, Seppun-sama."

He remained bowed, not once watching her leave. Once she left he stood again.

"I'm a fucking idiot."
