Sara smiled. "Hopefully I'll live to see the day where I became the famous starlet that you require Doji-sama." Her voice turned slightly husky.

"I will thank you if you have that delivered, I wish to review before the play tomorrow." She sighed. "It is a tumultuous time, but I will see this play delivered at its utmost."

Her fingers drummed on the table for a short while. "Does Doji-sama have a favorite play?"

"I am certain that you will find no need to make any further alterations once you receive my final draft," Suiminko says with a tone of finality.

"A favorite play?" She places a finger on her chin, eyes glancing upward as she thinks. "I would have to say 'Three Ronin in a Boat.' It's a marvelous little deconstruction of the style, and quite entertaining to watch performed. There's something about a playwright attempting to create a serious product and failing so miserably that it circles back around into ironically entertaining that amuses me to no end."

"Of course Doji-sama, I just wish to be ready to direct my actors to play their parts according to your vision."

She let out a laugh. "Has Doji-sama seen the screenplay? It's...a wonder to behold. Or something. I have managed to acquire the original. It's...like the author was blessed by the Fortune of Fortunate Mistakes. Or cursed. It is tough to tell, for sure."

She let out a small laugh recalling that experience.

"With luck, the creator will make another attempt. Not a sequel," she says, dismissing the idea out of hand, "but an attempt at something new entirely."

Sara laughed. "I can hope to only be half as revolutionary as him." She smiled at the thought. "The male lead role will be played by a Naga. What does Doji-sama think of that?"

The admission seems to catch her by surprise. "I... was unaware that they could act. Did you talk the snake into it, or did it volunteer?"

"I talked to it earlier. He seemed interested,and I figured, if this play is to transcend our grudges, why not go grand?" She smiled. "I'll at least be famous for that."

"If nothing else, the play will be memorable for that," she agrees. "I hope that it works out to your benefit. There are many veterans of the war that are still uncomfortable with the idea of seeing such creatures moving among our cities. Let us hope that its performance is enough to sway their hearts."

"Hai, hopefully it'll do." She let out a sigh. "And hopefully we can leave this nastyness behind soon enough. I long to start working on a proper production, with real actors and experienced stagehands. Kitbashing has its own charm, but it is not the same as with my troupe."

"Yes, I would be quite happy to be back in Kyuden Doji." She looks a bit wistful, then returns to the moment. "We shall simply have to do our best to make this Lion prison as tolerable as possible in the meantime, neh?"
