She smiled sadly and nodded to herself. "It would be lovely if I could see the world through Agasha-sama's eyes. Still, I agree that if one has no hope at all, people tend to live up to that small shred. But perhaps it really is something that is seen only when one deals with the dregs at times, as ronin often do." She didn't sound like she fully believed that, but it felt the right thing to say.

Poemu nodded softly again. Perhaps there were just those that had lived lives around those that could not hope for honor to win out over sin. She felt... sad for Mari. That seemed to be the woman's life.

After finishing her last bite, she stood and bowed. "Arigato for the lovely meal, Mari-san, and the discussion. I am sorry if I asked too much, but you were a kind host. I will pray that you find more reason to see good and honor in others as I do, just as I will pray to find those you describe." That faintly sad smile remained on her lips, but it was a smile none the less.

"I will hope that the world one day proves itself the better for what you see with those eyes," she said. Honestly, she would probably have preferred a world like that, deep down, but that wasn't going to happen. Bowing to the Agasha, she smiled as she rose and lifted to her feet.

"However, I can't monopolize your entire evening, now can I?"

"If you needed to I could, but you are a very self sufficient woman, so I should head back to the the Dragon Embassy." She smiled. "It was a nice meal with you Mari-san. I hope to talk again soon."
