"Please Seppun-sama, join us." She arranged some cushions and indicated some rolls of paper. Once the Imperial was settled she took her own seat again and poured some tea.

"Jasmine. My family are merchant patrons. I am blessed to have access to many varieties of fine tea." She looked at the sheets of paper and selected a light blue.

Horonigai nods to Ayanojo for his greeting, settles in and holds the tea cup until with both hands until Tetsuko herself begins enjoying the refreshment.

She takes a moment to savor it and nods again. The floral taste and the warmth helps to revigorate the coldness from today's events. "Oishii-desu, Daidoji-san. The Crane always have excellent taste."

Taking a look at material set up for the kite –– specially the bamboo –– Horonigai's eyes widen a bit in curiosity, and she slides in seiza closer to Ayanojo to check the design details with more attention. "Eeehhh! Sugoi! You're making a kite, ne!"

Ayanojo nodded, taking up his tablet to scribble once again.

He showed the design plans alongside it. There was no colour to the sketch but it was obviously meant to look like a crane in flight.

Tetsuko sipped at her tea, pleased they both seemed to approve of the flavour. "Oh. Goodness me, that is wonderful Asako-sama!" She looked at the designs and was clearly impressed with the mix of craftsmanship and artistry.

"Anno. Is this the real size, or will it be bigger?" She emphasizes on the bigger.

Ayanojo indicated the supplies he'd brought and that Tetsuko already had.

She reads and then taps her chin, wondering how big it could get. She giggles and says, "I would love to see a MEGACRANE above me. It would certainly be a challenge to control, hai. Too heavy."

Tetsuko smiled politely at Horonigai's enthusiasm. "Perhaps it would be possible along the coast Seppun-sama? The winds can be most impressive."

She looked at Ayanojo's plans and began to work on a simple version of her own. It was not the same as origami of course, but there were some familiar elements.

"Have you always been interested in kites Asako-sama?"

Tetsuko thought back to the festivals she had attended and nodded. "I recall many from my childhood that made an impression." A curious thought came to her.

"Is this how you became aware of the kami? I am told it is different for every shugenja." Her hands began to work with the paper to form the basic shape required.

The Seppun stays silent for a while, selecting a big piece of paper that wasn't being used, and starts folding it.

Not bad for a first timer, the Seppun manages to create something that resembles a Crane, or even some other bird, although bigger than the traditional one.
