The only event left is the Kassenko fight for Glory 4+

With Shiko being MIA and Chihaya already being in an event during that time, that leaves Me, Kashiwagi, Kayou, Tani, and Iko as combat characters. We also have a Kasuga courtier at 4+, but I don't think the peafowl master wants to get into a battle

Iko said she doesn't think she'd want to do the event, so it's pretty much the four of us going at it. Going to be an interesting fight for sure.

Once we know the outcome of that fight, Early Evening/Late evening threads should be good to go.

If I was Tortoise Guard or Tortoise Killer pathed maybe it'd be a different story! But neither of those exist / are accessible and Smuggler techs don't really help here.

Town is most likely going to be under siege following the battles, so threats can proceed with that assumption.

Unfortunately I think explosive-crafting is more of the set-and-run variety more than the light-and-toss variety... though I think maybe I have my next side project other than the Menagerie!

If I don't get hacked to death from the people on one side, I think the good and decent samurai of the land on the other side would have no issue hacking me to death afterwards for the Imperial crime of "being a gaijin grenadier" :lol:

Not that we're using the book that has damage for explosives in it, and thus they're solely at MS's discretion. But in the book we're not using there ARE explosives of the light and toss variety....they're just very underwhelming damage-wise. They're no match for a good tetsubo in your hands

They get better if they cause fear or confuse/disorientate enemies, especially as most Rokugani won't have a clue what just happened.

Actually, I liked the variant where since they were outside of Rokugan's cosmology, they ignore all reduction. No Kaiu armor, no void soaking, no armor of earth. Damage from gunpowder was damage you straight up took. Hence explaining why the gaijin at white stag were able to blow holes in the blessed walls.
