After she had left entirely, the Shosruo regarded Degarashi.

"A shame she left. I was about to give you some incredible aid."

The response to the Shosuro's statement was a flat, mildly disbelieving stare.

"Is that so, cousin? Do please enlighten me about what aid you were offering, and what it might have accomplished in your generous opinion."

Ren simply watched Horonigai go and let out a soft sigh.

Since she didn't bring much as she stormed in, Horonigai just makes sure to leave the broken item near her geta.

"I'm not certain such a thing would have done me anything but harm. Chihaya-san is a fascinating woman, but inherently distrustful of those bearing our mon. Anything which looked remotely choreographed would arouse suspicion."

He considered speaking further on the matter, but thought better of it until he understood his own reasoning for it. "I'm flattered that you've considered and weighed my soul so thoroughly as to accurately gauge my state of mind, so I shall ask; what is it I am doing currently?"

Makes you feel like you... Not anything anyone else thinks you should do. You’re your own judge. Living life without Regret isn’t simply not feeling bad... When we do something stupid we should remember how stupid that was... Living without Regret is doing what feels right inside you; no matter what.”

Kitamaru bowed as Degarashi left. He didn't pay much attention to whatever eyes had gathered on them, if any. He went about his work. Placed the bokken down on the rack for the Bayushi and then returned to his position to continue practice.

Horonigai gets slightly distracted with Degarashi's performance while thinking how good he was at expressing his emotions, even though, often, samurai could not. She assumes it is potentially not frowned upon due his profession.

The Scorpion felt that a fine decision, especially after Degarashi's outburst. Kitamaru smirked that it was exactly why one must let things out and feel from time to time.

Not like he felt anything, really.

She nodded and put her hand on Horonigai’s shoulder.

“If that’s what you need. Do it.” She replied.

“I’m gonna keep feeling good about you. Because there’s only one you and I care deeply for that you.”

Horonigai nearly smiles, but her eyes are grateful enough. "Ne, we should get going. It is getting late."

The Horonigai takes the broken bokken to fix, and mentions the umbrella. "Want to walk me home?"
