"I lack any command experience Yasuki-sama. I will fight alongside them, but it would not be my place to oversee other defenders." Maiya responded with great certainty. "Besides, my cousin knows more about defences and siegecraft than I."

She looks to Amaya thoughtfully. "Perhaps you could discuss the defences and any ways to strengthen them?"

Amaya had been content to listen in quietly, but with the attention suddenly on her now, the taciturn bushi gives a small shrug.

"Can do. Who's in charge of defence?"

"I mean, the Lion. I imagine there's probably some nikutai or gunso somewhere around the city coordinating with the governor or such. I met the quartermaster earlier, but I didn't think to ask who was in charge over all."

She cleared her throat gently. "Amaya-san, I meant discussing it with Daisuke-sama. You each were looking at the walls, desho?"

"Ah." She says and glances first at her cousin at the rebuke, then in Daisuke's direction to ask him. "Want to talk wall defences?"
