So in a way, cutting red meat from the diet is basically business as usual, except with a more stable and long term change."

"I have no clue how long it will be, nor specifically where they are heading. It could be as complex as researching magical things beyond my comprehension or as simple as a straight up fight against whatever has her occupied. It's really just guesswork at this point," he says, shaking his head.

When I got the news of their imminent departure it made me happy, to know what they sought, and that the Unicorn had requested the marriage to my betrothed be moved up as soon as possible. The letter was a welcome one. Even if I am now a Crane and my loyalty to my new lord is unwavering as it had been to my former lord, I still honor Shinjo's teachings as a student of her school."

"That is good to hear, though I do wonder...do the teachings of your school conflict with the views of your new clan? The Crane and Unicorn traditionally have been close allies, but I imagine much has changed in your previous clans absence."

"I imagine they clash as much as any person that marries into another clan has to deal with. As far as I have seen, those teachings don't clash with the will of my lord and I can serve him faithfully with those teachings in mind."

"While I would like to be cleansed, I would be hopeful that if they are busy, it is helping with the refugees in the streets. Many of them are likely in dire need of assistance."

There are so many Crane focused buildings that stand out to me, but there is a definite rivalry between the Crane and Lion, which I am learning now just how deep it runs. Strange that an Embassy of that size would be here. Is it because it is so closely bordered with Crane lands?"
