Kitamaru rose and reached behind himself, making a difficult sleight of hand maneuver to deposit the cat back where it was.

The Shosuro gestured at the pedestal, nodding a great deal, took a bow yet again.

There was no cat.

Sara feigned surprise, and stood up to take a look at where the cat was supposed to be. Moving past her cousin, her hand lightly touched on his back in a friendly way...perhaps she might find a missing cat?

There was a cat.

Kitamaru sprung away, unable to hide it leaving her holding the bill. The Shosuro landed on the pedestal crouched like the statue had been. Finger pointing accusingly.

Sara smiled, and placed a kiss on the small cat....before placing it on the altar. She shrugged her shoulder, and started sauntering away.

Kitamaru dismounted gracefully and stared at the kitty for some time.

Rubbing the chin of their fox mask in thought. A hand extended toward it again, the other hand slapped it down and the Scorpion did a handspring off the steps of the shrine, landing next to Sara and strutted alongside her.

"Yes", was all Kitamaru could manage. To expand on it would be dangerous, and a Shosuro keeps watch on their heart.

Sara laughed. "Are you really that confident in your flute, Kita-kun?" She winked at him. "We wouldn't want your instrument to fail at the most inopportune time."

"Is Sara-san suggesting my playing is inadequate? Such slander."

The Scorpion played a jaunty marching tune and lead the way out of the temples. Perhaps toward an inn. Perhaps not.

"Ie, I just worry about you, is all." She smiled and stepped to the tune of the music, raising her arms in dance.

"Not bad, not bad at all Kita-kun." She smiled as they walked.

"When did you last oil your flute?"

"A Kakita artisan of the Juramshi court was kind enough to look after it when it fell to disuse", the Shosuro claimed. "Charming woman, incredible capacity for breath."

He continued playing with a smirk.

She suddenly reached out to pinch him.

Jiu Jutsu was a useful skill for a yojimbo. It aided in buying time to draw one's blade in close quarters.

It also made for epic moments with ladies.

Kitamaru caught Sara's hand at the wrist, pulled and twisted, bringing her to face his fox mask closely.

"But your sister is not here."

Sara was not exactly surprised. She was not a trained combatant, after all. She allowed herself to be pulled close.

"Oh? How would you know? We're twins." She smirked at him.
