(Gist is, we're searching for reports of slaughter spirits out in the town to try and track them down. If we happen to run into such spirits, well, we'l deal with them as they happen.

The city's been infiltrated; we're trying to find other infiltrators.)

There are plenty of refugees who seem nervous, as if they might know something, but many of them are heimin who are unwilling to speak out about Lion samurai. After some convincing, Erina and Seuitouna manage to get a list of names of Lion who were seen to be acting "strangely" - shouting at refugees, stomping about angrily, punching holes in walls, that sort of thing.

All in all, there are maybe twenty possible "infiltrators," many of them Matsu.

After seeing the glow on the horizon northeast of Toshi no Omoidoso, she no longer has to wonder whether there's truth to those rumors that returned spirits have a reddish luminescence one might notice in dim light. She's convinced.

"As much as I hate to admit it, I think we need to observe before taking action." Erina grumbles, hand itching to her blade on pure principle. "Even if we get all of these, we will have no idea as to their plan."

A ghost of a smile appears on Erina's lips.

"I have an idea. Thank you all, you have done excellent work. I will be passing my commendations to the Governor."

"I'm not a sama" Erina makes a dismissive gesture. "Either way, we should consult the governor. Not only because tensions are high, but if they intend to keep up the act, they cannot refuse the summons of the governor. And if they break their act, we will need greater numbers to take 20 Matsu in one swoop. We saw what they could do outside the gates of Toshi."
