This is a list of various NPCs that you can choose from for the purposes of Allies, Sworn Enemies, Blackmail, or the like. These aren't the only options available to you, of course, but they do provide you with some established options that you can utilize.

The number in parenthesis after the NPC's name is their current Status, while the Family name in parenthesis is the character's Family name prior to marrying into a new Clan.


Note that these characters aren't present in this game; they're just NPCs that have been established as existing in Rokugan.

Kaiu (Ichiro) Amarante (♀) (2) - bigoted scout with colorful sense of humor and few social graces. Widowed (Kaiu Osamu, the former Kaiu daimyo).

Hiruma Mitsuko (♀) (4) - future daimyo of the Hiruma family. Married to Hiruma (Kakita) Keitaro.

Hiruma (Kakita) Keitaro (♂) (3) - bitter duelist assassin rumored to have a grudge against his former lord. Married to Hiruma Mitsuko.

Kaiu Hiroyasu (♂) (3) - skilled architect with a smashed leg due to a falling stone block. Married to Kaiu (Shiba) Midori.

Kaiu (Shiba) Midori (♀) (2) - ruthless merchant with a large fortune. Married to Kaiu Hiroyasu.

Hiruma Yoko (♀) (2) - world-weary bushi with a reputation for sleeping around with her fellow scouts. Married to Hiruma (Shosuro) Hijime (PC).

Hida Eiko (♀) (2) - very dedicated and loyal crab warrior rumored to be pestered by annoying mujina. Married to Hida (Togashi) Chikao.

Hida (Togashi) Chikao (♂) (1) - musician with clouded past who joined the Togashi in his late teens. Married to Hida Eiko.

Hiruma Takero (♂) (1) - brutal warrior who served as a ronin mercenary before being offered fealty for single-handedly killing a Tsuburu no Oni.

Doji Noboru (♂) (2) - laid back courtier who has gone to great lengths to not stand out or make waves in court.
