Day 9

13th day of the Month of the Hare, 759


The sixth day of rain has the residents of Nikesake grumbling about curses and offering their prayers to Osano-Wo to deliver them from whatever slights they might have done to anger him. Oblivious to his prayers, the rain continues, causing the muddy streets to fill with puddles of water. Anyone traveling in the city without geta arrives at their destination covered in mud from the knee down.

The Lion samurai stationed around the castle are acting peculiar today, some of them speaking quietly to people that are not there or even having one-sided arguments with samurai that cannot be seen or heard. Whispers of madness begin to circulate through the town as the full moon is glimpsed in the cloudy sky overhead.
