Hachi came to the Shrine of the Fortune of Redemption. He had finished a quick rice ball on his way, and dusted his robes off before entering.

After the proper obeisence, he approached the alter to the Fortune. "I am hopeful for your presence in my future. I have finally realized part of my destiny, preserving the dark madness, when no other could, that it might be returned to the clan. But the words still flame in my mind. Is there to be more?"

Kayou moves through her kata-dance to welcome Lady-Sun back to the sky, her aid and guidance being needed now more than ever. She keeps her focus on the movements, Lady Sun must be given proper respect and love, her children are not ungrateful.

After granting the esteemed abbess time for her devotions, Hachi approaches her and bows. "Greetings, honored monk. This one is Hachi, tensai of the Isawa."

Kayou returns the bows. "Hai, Isawa-sama, we had meet in Toshi no Omoidoso before the recent troubles. This one is pleased to see that you made the journey safely to Nikesake."

Hachi smiles slightly. "This one was not sure that his presence would be remembered after such a time. I was hoping you might have a moment, if possible."

"I have access to certain... prophecies. Not my own, but I heard many of them. They are even more cryptic than the norm for prophecies, and are of a dark bent. I do not wish them lost, but neither do I wish to be the only one that carries them around. I wondered, if at all possible, could I send a copy to your sect's safest location? If you wished to read them yourself, I would not in anyway object, but... they are random, and often nonsensical."

"This one's Order has only one chapter house at the moment, but it is out of the way in the Sparrow lands," says Kayou. "Though she does promise that she will do her best to keep them safe. She does have some small knowledge of the Dark and its oracles."

"Not one of the Dark Oracles, but a person blessed or cursed - mostly cursed - with seeing the visions of dark and evil things. But, that person was also being as obstructive and... and difficult as possible. So, riddles and the like. And the words themselves almost seem... not alive, but with a power of their own. They will age and char the paper it is written on, requiring occasional recopying."

"That is . . . troubling, Isawa-sama," says Kayou. "But if you feel they have value in future conflicts with the Dark. She will be glad to do her best to keep them preserved. May this one ask who else knows of them?"

"Previously, all of the Masters. Now, just yesterday, I informed Asako Kashiwagi, and some of the other Phoenix were there. He has received my most recent copy, and I will make a new one and get it to you as soon as possible. I can only hope that it will finally be done. That I will be granted sleep, without the nightmares."

Kayou nods and smile sympathetically. "This one has suffered her share of nightmare in the past." She involuntarily clenches her left hand.

"Would you like to begin now?"

Hachi nods. He is curious what her methods will involve. And her style of teaching.

"This one was once very . . . angry, Isawa-sama. Meditation taught her to release that," says Kayou. "This one hope it may help to free you as well."

"Are you a student of the Tao?" she asks. "This one like to find a verse and repeat it in her mind until it fades and this one begins to reach for Tao itself."

OOC: Honestly, I have no idea how one would teach meditation. It is something I personally have never been able to do.

"I have studied the Tao, but of late, have had little luck. My mind keeps slipping to the words I had heard, and I am unable to recall the ones of the Tao."

They cannot define the absolute

Hold your tongue and just be mute

Hachi listens carefully, attempting to commit the words to his well trained Scribe memory. He can only hope he will be able to keep them.

He sinks into seiza, and begins to turn the words over in his mind.
