After an odd day such as had been had, Hachi approached the walls. He looked, hoping he could find someone of rank to make his offer to. He was carrying his staff, and in full shugenja robes, of a dark red color.

Hachi is tired, but really hopes he can find a commander to grant him the information he might use to help the city.

You find a commander of the current watch rotation, a tall Lion who is traveling between guardspeople. He seems alert and active, and he doesn't slow down as he approaches you (to talk past you to check on others).

Hachi gives a bow, and looks at the Commander. "Pardon, Lion-sama. This one is Hachi, tensai of the Isawa. Would you have the time to answer a pair of questions?"

He stops abruptly. He looks torn between brushing off Haichi and replying. After a few moments hesitation, he bows.

"Of course. I am Akodo Eiji. If I can answer, I shall."

"As you are aware, there are forces approaching this city. I have enough favor with the Earth kami to summon forth stones, suitable for dropping or throwing at any forces that might be inimicable to the well-being of the city. Would your defenses be helped by having some such granted to you?"
