"That is most comforting to know that an investigation will be conducted and I am willing to aid in that investigation as a respective third party. Although, it still begs to question; was the Doji Diplomat a clear and present danger to the Lion guards?"

Ryuji turned to the Kashiwagi but his comments were more for the Matsu.

"I thank you for your concern Asako-sama. I trust that the Lion here will not want to bloody the robes of an Imperial investigator."

Kōgyoku thinned her lips but didn't budge. She wasn't easily triggered. "Do what serves your honour best, Asako-san. Following Bushido is the best we can do."

She turned to the Otomo. "Whether she posed danger is insubstantial, Otomo-san. Whether she deliberately violated a legitimate decree she had been clearly informed of is. Unless you are a ranking Emerald Magistrate, Otomo-san, I am not sure how you can assist in inter-Clan dispute beyond providing a testimony of what you have directly witnessed. But such matters are for the governor to decide."

Two of the Lion guards move towards the Crane, blades drawn and with deadly intent. The third remaining guard is backing away, horrified at the situation unfolding in front of him.

The lead guard growls as he steps forward. "Attack the Daidoji!"

The injured guard moves into a flanking position as they attempt to attack Tetsuko from both sides, but she deflects both assaults.
