That's not supposed to happen. The tea was strange...or maybe Sara was just nervous?

Suiminko props her chin up on one hand and smiles. "And what is your best feature, Sara-san? Which of your skills and accomplishments are you most proud of?"

Despite Sara's attempts, the Imperial Advisor didn't seem all that interested in her body.

"And which art is that? I don't believe you specified." Suiminko uses her free hand to shift her hair over her shoulder, 'accidentally' exposing a bit of neck in the process. "It's not very often that a lovely woman such as yourself walks into my room. I'm interested in knowing more about you, Sara-chan." She slowly licked her lips.

"Oh? I haven't?" Sara giggled and blushed. The Advisor was a pretty woman, after all.

"I just didn't want to drag it into the conversation.." Smooth.

Suiminko's eyebrows raise in surprise. "An actress? Have you been anyone I would know?" Another smile, as her eyes wander down 'Sakura' for a moment and then come back up. "It must be difficult being a beautiful actress. So difficult to forget a body like that.""

"Ie, I would not think so Doji-sama." She shook her head in an adorable manner, still blushing. "I was supposed to play in the few months, but things have taken a far sadder turn for theatre to be popular, sadly."

She looked away. "Ie, sadly far too many forget this one as I would like." She tilted her head slowly back towards the Advisor.

"Doji-sama, may I ask something?"

Her tongue slowly slipped out and back. The tea tasted strange...was it? Perhaps it was... a weird Doji blend.

"No need to be so formal," she says, her voice smooth. "You can ask me whatever you like, but for every question, you have to first tell me something about the wonderful actress sitting in front of me. I'll leave it up to you to decide what."

Sara smiled and blushed. "Haggling like a Yasuki Doji-sama? Neh." She let out a nervous laugh.

"My mother loves flowers and plants." She stated simply.

"What do I get to see in return?" she teases, before sitting up and pulling her bangs to the side, revealing her other eye. She winks at the Scorpion-turned Crane, the releases her hair and lets it fall back into place.

"But that's cheating, Sara-chan. You are to tell me something about yourself, not your mother." She feigns disapproval. "Now you will have to tell me two things to make up for it "

"Oh? That seems oddly specific Doji-sama. My family is part of my soul, don't you think, neh?"

She smirked, and glanced deeply into the revealed eye. She debated her next step and eyed the tea, Delve deeper, or try and and play the tease?

She simply smiled once again. "Two things? Doji-sama seems quite greedy. I would not have thought so." She coughed slightly. "Well, I did not think that I would meet the Imperial Advisor in Toshi no Omoidasu."

She placed her hand down on the table, idly tapping it. "I also enjoy a myriad of different pursuit, mainly among the arts."

Suiminko sighs softly as she leans back, supporting herself on her hands. Her lips turn down in a faint frown. "You're being evasive," she says, her voice upset. "I'm trying to get to know the real you, and you're playing games with me. I thought we had a connection."

"Oh? Gomen Doji-sama." She straightened up and out, looking into the Advisor's single eye.

"So kind Doji-sama, your nterest almost feels unwarranted." She idly moved her hand up to untangle her hair. Might as well be comfortable.

"Still two things, eh? Well, in that case I'd like to ask two things in return." she smiled. "I was robbed since Winter Court.." She raised one finger up. "I was bored out of my mind until meeting you." Two fingers. "I am here of my own volition." Three fingers.

Sara smiled, her fingers playing with her tea cup. "Mmmm...what does your esteemed experience tell you Doji-sama, what do you think the next action of Hantei XVI will be?"

She tilted her head, leaving a pause in between. "What kind of tea did I get?"

She sighed, then raised a hand tugging at her left shoulder of her kimono. "So tight." She idly glanced up. "I was robbed of my chance, Doji-sama. I was supposed to play in the keystone performance in front of the Emperor. And then he died. Do you have another specific question, or are you interested in what I want to offer?"

"He surely intends to kill the Empress and her son. One cannot be a ruler while there is another holding that title."

She glances toward the tea bottle, then back to Sara as she fiddles with her kimono. "The tea was Centipede Blossoms, just as I said." A tilt of her head. "I remember seeing the play on the court's itinerary, which makes me curious why the esteemed Shosuro Sara would attempt to impersonate a Crane samurai in an attempt to get closer to me. That is the sort of mistake that can cost a woman her career, if not her life."

"I am honored you recall me Doji-sama, but then again, I should not be surprised exactly. You are interested in ithe arts, and me, well, I was supposed to break big." She sighed and let out a snort. "The flavoring seems off Doji-sama. Are you holding out on me?"

She pushed the tea cup away. "It's also too sweet." She raised a hand, her fingers idly sweeping some strands out of her hair. "I was hoping for some deeper wisdom from you, but perhaps that was presumptuous."

She leaned forward as she spoke. "As I metnioned, I was terribly bored. I am working on a play for Asako Kashiwagi-sama, but that doesn't occupy my full time here. I am not a bushi, nor someone who can pray the spirits away. So I did what I could, I played a part, a role. A Crane Imperial Advisor would not usually speak her mind to a Scorpion actress." She let out a giggle. "What gave me away? Was the rock gardening duel too much?"

"At the risk of helping a Scorpion deceive others in the future..." Suiminko pushes up and leans forward, her face close to Sara's own as she speaks in a low voice. "Your story was too thorough. Excellent for a play, where the audience must know the characters quickly to pick up on their motivations, but in real life, samurai tend to be more guarded and less open. Especially among the Crane."

She smiles. "Also, asking 'please take care of me' is a Crab custom, more than a Crane one. I would expect it more out of a Kaiu or a Yasuki than a Doji."

Leaning back from Sara, she holds out her hands, palm upwards. "Give me your hands."
