The story got Kōgyoku wonder. The commercial vibe was despicable and did the portrayal of the Crane a critical vibe, but this was something the Lioness could live with. The tale of two chrysanthemums, however layered it may have been, was cast on minds which were prone to direct associations with the current situation. Who was the protector and who was the predator was likely in the ear of the hearkener.

She soon moved on, because there was no time to contemplate it all with detail, with the bad mum's rhizomes soon at the gates. It may or may not have been an inspiration for her to rush forth and defend the city so that little tubers could sprout, even if she didn't need one to the right Lion thing.

With the performance wrapped up and others making their exit from the seats, the Tortoise rose and followed suit, pulling his traveling cloak around him to protect from the rain as he contemplated the various stories while meandering towards the remaining market stalls that had yet to close for the day due to the weather.

A little positive attention from a daimyo was a good thing indeed, but there was a point where one was asking for trouble by demanding too much of it.
