"I could only guess that the refugees are here because they haven't been ordered to fight where they had come from. Even then, they seem worse for wear..." she gave a shake of her head, it wasn't her place to judge how the Lion handled their heimen. They were more plentiful here than the Dragon lands admittedly, especially where she was from. "I'm sure they'll do what is needed? I have to admit that I have little real insight or experience to offer when it comes to such a war situation."

"Oh, no, no, I don't expect the Lion to force them to fight necessarily. The Lion simply enjoy having levies." Setsuna crossed their arms in deep thought. "What wealth they could accomplish if those 'professional ashigaru' pursued other tasks."

She found herself tilting her head slightly, wondering if the Lion style of levies was akin to forcing peasants to fight compared to the Dragon. However, it was not her place to criticize their ways, especially in time of war. "I'm sure our honoured hosts will know what to do when required. This place...and situation, is far different than what I'm used to on the mountain where we find ourselves even remote to other Dragons. How about Bayushi-san? Where you would you find yourself typically?"

"Even more remote? I figured such a thing was not possible unless you were of the Unicorn," Setsuna remarked. They then lowered their head in thought. "I haven't had the pleasure of really getting to know one of the Unicorn yet. Have you, perhaps?

"As for your question, I am a warrior by trade. I go where I am needed, though that is usually involved with my clan's allies." The Scorpion gestured around down the streets.

"Remote is probably more relative than anything," she chuckled with a gesture as if she was trying to show distance. "I think we have a contest among each other to see who is more secluded than the other. I'm not exactly from where the Togashi do their training but far from the Mirumoto capital. I guess we still have a blacksmith in town, a baker, and a restaurant..."

She took a glance at her surroundings, how many bakers do they have here? Why do they need that many?

"No...I guess I didn't even know there were Unicorn here," she murmured with a hand on her chin, not exactly knowing what to conjured in her imagination about meeting her first Unicorn.

"Oh, I suppose much like Bayushi Norikami-san? Are you two acquainted? Have you seen much of the Lion lands?" She asked curiously.

"Hm," Setsuna grunted in regards to the relativity of distance. "Heaven is far for all of us but not the divine, after all."

The Bayushi shrugged. "There must be a few among the procession, at least." Procession was one way to describe the influx of refugees.

"To know of someone is not the same as knowing someone," Setsuna admitted, "I will say that I am more familiar with Lion lands than Bayushi Norikami-sama."

"No, I suppose not. At the moment, I think I only know of you, Bayushi-san," she said with a smirk. "I don't think I've gotten the chance to speak to many Lion here as of yet, strangely enough. I do wish to know the Lion Clan by the end of my stay. Perhaps I could talk to you about it? Especially when you're also here as a visitor. How have you found your stay here? What are your opinions about the Lion Clan?"
