Well, the army is leaving but before we send out any refugees I figure it would make sense to scout ahead to see the direction the army is moving. I am seeing if I can bring a small band of NPC scouts I've been training, but I would be open to other volunteers |

Obviously after EE, but I know some might want to do the LE evening event. Conversely, at that point we are running out of daylight |

The army leaves LA; doesn’t that mean we could go then? I’ve been assuming LE is already dark, tbh; we’re probably still on the wrong side of the spring equinox. |

Hmm I should ask the GMs. LA may be too early as they are still packing up...but it is when the trail is freshest (and danger highest) |

I mean, going under cover of darkness is probably not a bad idea. The army does glow which suggests they have easily trackable sources of light. |

I assume we want to know more than just "which way they went," though. A general glow on the horizon doesn't tell us about stuff like supplies, discipline, troop strength etc. that we might pick up from actually being able to see the trail. Edit: also, maybe we'll be able to run into the prisoners? Fingers crossed they escape somehow in LA or EE. |

Fair point. The closer we are to danger, the closer we are to something useful. I'll push for LA and is MS has us push it back so be it. |

Well, if there is no daylight savings in Rokugan, which I suspect to be the case, the latest sunset start time should be a bit after 7 even on the longest days of summer. So by the time LE 8 PM start time we should be well into twilight even on that longest day. During winter/spring like we're in now, at best we could hope for the darkest part of twilight to be at the very start of LE. And traveling to catch up with the army would take enough time that the last bits of twilight would be gone. And that makes sense if they were intending to travel in the dark to make it more difficult on scouts. Seems a reasonable strategy when you are traveling with an army on foot. Definitely can't join up if it's EE or if the LA thread stretches to EE. |

Ok. I'll gun for LA and see if we can get the heading. There is also the chance that we might send people back because we got a long term lead, but it's back the way we came. |

Before I barge in... what's the additional intel we're after, here? We know more or less where they are going, so having a sense of what specifically we need to find out would be good. |

Ok...then enough to try to figure out what their next destination is so warning can be sent? |
