How many raises is it to summon tea or, if possible, soup? Would it be hot?

Was going to make this private, but considering the number of people who have interacted with returned spirits and also worrying about them infiltrating the crowds...

In old lore, the spirits returned through Oblivion's Gate were visibly notable, iirc, at least at first. Are the returned spirits in this case visually different? I may be remembering 3rd ed stuff incorrectly, it was a long while ago.

Sure. There shouldn't be any issue with gathering brush. Go with a TN 15 Craft: Woodworking or Carpentry/Intelligence to make it into a passable shelter. On a failure, it's still a lean-to that will work for like, one person.

We (by which I mean Tsukimi) made one Craft roll here: viewtopic.php?p=8682#p8682 . Wanted to note that in case it makes any difference to their fates overnight... :?

Is one successful building roll enough to represent having a handle on basic shelter construction, and thus competently sheltering everybody who is stuck outside (perhaps with help from the able-bodied refugees)? Or should we all be rolling to build more?

Probably around three or so?

Best you could do would be warmish. For more than that, you need to get fire kami involved.

The returned spirits have a faint glow to them, but nothing you'd notice in a reasonably well-lit room.

You can get some of the refugees into the shelter, but it's probably a "one shelter per time slot" sort of situation, given that you're dealing with uncut (and kinda frozen) brushwood.

(Gift of the Lady Technique: Everyone can make an Etiquette (Courtesy)/Willpower roll against TN 58 to avoid having their emotions shifted in a favorable direction with regards to Suiminko, generally going along with whatever she says that doesn't conflict with your basic loyalties.)

Honor can be added to the roll? If so, Paragon applies?

Can someone roll medicine to restore wounds without a kit? Also I don't want to roll for the D2 EN wall thread without permission so if the answer to the above question is yes, then can someone roll it?

Only if you have the Herbalism emphasis.

Otherwise you need a kit.

Do we know about when you will unlock the other events? The battle at the gates one seems like a good one for me so I dont want to sleep through it.

Would news of Kato arresting all of the spirits in Toshi Ranbo have made it here by now?

It happened before the assassination, so it is possible that characters have heard of that event, yes.

Since the governor asked me to train anyone available for archery, roughly how many peasants am I able to conscript and outfit with bows/arrows?

Am I able to requisition pots of oil to place on the wall to use as a defensive weapon (I.E to dip arrows in to light, or to drop on enemies at the base of the wall and ignite)

Is there lumber available to use with engineering to create stakes on the battlements of the wall?

Am I able to get the gate to open for a timeslot to set up some hay bales at range increments?

Probably somewhere in the dozens.

Keeping a fire going on the castle wall in the rain is probably not all that likely, and the water makes oil rather impractical as well. Plus, that oil is probably best used letting people read things in the dark.

Lots of forest out there.

The problem is frozen ground and heavy rain.

Sure.

Sorry for another round of questions so quickly, I was going to edit but saw you were reading here and probably already were replying.

Is there material available to reinforce the gates with? Masonry stone, large carts that could be pushed against it, bracing logs, etc?

Any sort of sap/pitch stored that can be used instead of oil?

Any boulders that could be set up on planks to be used to roll off the wall?

Finally, any basic (non-weapon) axes that can be requisitioned for the purpose of cutting lumber/hacking enemy grappling ropes, etc?

There are braces for the gates.

There's sap out in the woods. Most of it is probably frozen.

There are no boulders within the castle walls.

Getting weapons to peasants that can use them isn't an issue. The Lion have weapons for days.

How wide and tall are the city gates? Wondering about the chance of Summoning Boulders to back it up.

Also would I be able to create a rough barbell shape on summoned rocks, so they could be fairly easily split to make 2 boulders for the defenders to use?
