At that, Tsukimi laughed. One hand even patted her exposed thigh as she tried to contain herself, as this was after all a temple.

"Oh, such would certainly depend on the teacher. Fifty rounds around the courtyard from Kage-sensei, two days of fasting with Mikazuki-sensei, or just... sweeping the temple-stairs if it was Ohisa-sensei. One never truly knows with a Togashi."

"Oh, no worry, I have quite recovered - astonishingly so, according to the monks."

She smiled blandly. "That particular issue is what set me far from Suzume lands - I had to deal with a troublesome... individual... before returning home. I would not allow others to be endangered on my behalf."

"Perhaps this one should find time to study with them. There is something to be said for keeping a pupil guessing."

"May knowledge is . . . incomplete at best, Matsu-san," she replies. "However, it is my belief that they are outside the Kharmic Wheel and can no longer claim any roll as an Ancestor. Having forfeited that states when they left the spiritual realm they had been judged fit to reside in."
