"Lunch would be lovely, Agasha-sama. Do you take yours in the early afternoon, or later?"

"Usually then, though anymore, I have been flexible on arrangements, for obvious reasons." She gave a soft sigh. The water helped calm her, but there was no helping the situation all the same.

Poemu let a smile touch her face again only a moment later however, not letting troubles get her down for long. "I would leave where we eat up to Kasuga-san. Perhaps there is a treasure of delectability to be found I would miss."

"Mmm, no. Or I should say, yes, but... surprise me Kasuga-san." She beamed. "I am certain there are things I have never tried before here, or places that serve food that comes highly recommended. I think either would be wonderful."

Poemu giggled into a hand again, relaxing with the water up to her chin, hair fanned out. "Show me your treasure hunting skills, if you would."

Seitouna smiles at the words.

"This one would be elated to do so. Although it is perhaps to be lamented that we are so far inland and so late in the season; oysters would seem to be unavailable, anymore. They are such lovely things to eat, after all."

He looks at her again, perhaps closer.

"Get the blood pumping, they do, as do many good foods. And this one has been places where a spicy sauce is served with them--does Agasha-sama like spicy things, perhaps?"

"Ah, I have had oysters before." She smiled and nodded. "They were not so common in Morikage Toshi, but they were served at a few functions. I must say, after my birth and training, sea food is quite unique."

"As for spicy foods... they are not very common anywhere I've been. In truth, I cannot say how I would like them. I have always been a touch... uneasy, but I think if I had someone to show me the way to it, I would feel a lot better about it." Poemu put on a brave face, that had a touch of excitement at the prospect of something new.

"It will be a welcome thing, then. And one hopes Agasha-sama is abundantly warmed."

"It would be best if spring finally came and the rain stopped for a day, but I imagine spicy foods would be all the more welcome." For a moment, she thought about how the rain must be slowing the forces of Hantei XVI, but that didn't seem the thing to speak of at the moment. Instead, she just smiled again.

"Do the ports of the Tortoise have many spicy foods then? I had heard the Unicorn returned with many such dishes, and that the Isles have a few. I have never been to your clan's lands however."

"We cluster along the coast near the capital, Agasha-sama, as well as in it. But we do have access to many peppers of more than mild interest and decided flavor--some as spicy as wasabi or more, though in a different way entirely."

He breathes deeply, exhales slowly.

"There was one, though, that was particularly sweet; as I recall, it was called a pikiyo or something similar. It was a wonderful complement to the meal served, bringing out the savory flavors exceptionally well. Alas, I have none here, and I know not when more will arrive where I am!

"But it is good to be reminded of pleasures in the world, and that they are to be savored."

He pauses, looks Poemu in the eyes again.

"What does Agasha-sama savor in life?"

Were they still talking about food? She was pretty sure they were still talking about food.

"Ano... ah! I frequently miss dishes made with the mountain plants that my family gathers. I didn't like them as much when I was a child, they were usually more bitter than rice and miso soup and such. Now that I'm far from home though, I savor the thought of them. Since they need to be picked fresh within a day or two, there's no way to have them transported across the Empire, and though the Miya lands are close to mountains as well, they have their own unique flavors."

She paused. "Though I came to savor those as well. I DO enjoy Lion lands, and sea food and such are all unique experiences, but we tend to savor those things that give us the most nostalgia, hai?"

"That may be so, Agasha-sama," replies the Tortoise. "But it is not always for the earliest flavors that nostalgia blooms. And, in truth, a person may love in their youth a food that they cannot stomach in older years, and they may well find other delights to take in, in time."

He shifts slightly, the motion leaving him just a touch closer to her.

"This one hopes to be able to show Agasha-sama some such when we meet again."

A warm smile touched Poemu's lips as she nodded. She kept eye contact, but didn't seem to think beyond their words. "That was the idea about asking for your recommendation Kasuga-san. To always be stuck with the familiar means one does not get new chances for nostalgia. This one is hoping for such."

It's a pretty smile, he thinks, and offers one to meet it.

"Then this one shall endeavor to meet Agasha-sama's hopes," he says, and he notes a particular place he has in mind. "Yakitori, mostly, but with more sauces on offer than is common."

He shifts his legs under the water. Does his foot brush against her leg, sitting so close? Maybe. But his eyes are on her face, so it's not like he was doing it on purpose, certainly, and it is incidental contact, if it happens at all.

Surely.

Whether it had or not, Poemu moved away just a little. It was a shift back to grab her towel and dry her neck a little, nothing more. If her face was a touch red, that was surely the water as well.

"That sounds lovely Kasuga-san. Ano... I fear the water's heat is getting to me a bit more than I thought. Perhaps it is the switch from the cold rain?" She shook her head softly. "Perhaps we will have to continue our conversation tomorrow, hai?"

Seitouna looks at his hand, sees the flesh pruning.

"Indeed, this one begins to wrinkle so that he will look like his Clan's namesake."

He chuckles, bows his head as the water allows, and says "Until tomorrow, then, Agasha-sama."

And he levers himself out of the water, making his way to the /exit.

She would look to the side as Seitouna emerged to dry off and go change. She wouldn't peek, she was far too honorable! If she was red faced at the sounds, it was just the hot water again. Of course.
