"Oh, ok. Ano, is there another shugenja of your Clan that we could meet please? It's important."

Having learned that Miwako was a bit tied up with something, Maiya implored the Embassy staff for assistance. She was still injured from her fight, which was one thing, but the bigger issue related to the bundles of steel she carried.

"We recovered some weapons from creatures that descended from the sky. I don't know how to describe it better. We're worried about what they left. The Phoenix Clan are known for your vast knowledge, ne?"

"Weapons from a Spirit World."

Amaya adds calmly, covered in much less Tsuno blood, but still offering quite the sight, fresh from a gruesome fight. There has been quite a bit of liquid backlash from what she did to that last dog-demon-thing.

"No Kuni around. Have to identify danger. Want to identify use."

A sharp, blood-curdling scream breaks through the relative silence of the night.

It seems to be coming from inside the embassy!

She quickly looked up and went on full alert. "Tsuta!" Maiya yells loudly in warning, as she had been trained.

However, she lifts a hand in front of her cousin in case she tried to make a move. "We can't just rush into the Phoenix embassy armed and armoured because there was a scream." Even if I want to.

Her attention jumped back to the Embassy staff. "Hurry, go see what is happening or let us in."

The sudden scream makes Amaya look up sharply. Her cousin has the warning covered already, so there is no need for her to speak up. And although it is not needed, Amaya is glad to see her cousin's arm held up, because that means there is no need to worry about having to hold Maiya back. Charging into another Clan's embassy is not a good idea. What is said to the staff moments later confirms it.

The smaller Crab puts one hand on her weapon and looks alert, observing the building.

The embassy door is flung open by a young samurai. "IT'S MADE FROM PEOPLE! THE SPELL SCROLLS ARE MADE FROM PEOPLE!"

He flees from the building as fast as he can, waving his arms in the air and screaming loudly.

Maiya took a step back as the embassy door was flung open, hand moving to her katana tsuka. Wait, I recognise him!

She steps out of the way of the crazy Phoenix as he rushes past. "He was strange around his dog too." Maiya declares so her cousin could hear her.

Amaya can only blink in startled confusion at the clearly crazy Phoenix escaping the embassy with his disturbing babbling. She even has to hold back from instinctively striking him down too.

Really though. What is going on here?

She gives her cousin a quick look. Announce their presence and see what else comes out, or barge in?

No doubt the staff were surprised too.

Maiya remained where she was and fought to relax herself. "He was trying to get his dog to spar with him outside the dojo a couple days ago. He might be drunk, ne?"

That explanation makes Amaya blink and stare are her cousin. It sounds like he could have been trying to train his dog, but then Mai-chan would have said so.

And now she is trying to imagine how someone would try to spar with a dog. It makes no sense. Still though.

"Doesn't sound drunk." And the more obvious observation. "He runs in a straight line."

Another shrill scream. "They're killing me!!"

"Get that door closed! Someone get her tied down again!" A man walking with a tall stick stops to cough harshly before looking at the pair in armor at the front door. Servants and minor bushi are running around. "Someone go stop that *cough* boy!"

Going to the door, he gives a curt bow.

"Normally, I'd do something courtly, but I see by your mons you are Crab. Do either of you have experience with people that are, uh, 'blessed' by Lord Moon?" He looks around, then points at another servant. "You! Bring me a bucket of water!"

Once it is brought he looks at the Crab again. "Would it work if I just poured this over you? Or do you need me to heal you first?" *cough, cough*

The person in the bloodier suit of armour returned the bow slightly. She was uncertain what was going on until the man spoke up.

"Uh, there was one stationed with us once. Tying them up or getting them drunk unconscious worked for a few months. Then they ran off past the Wall." Which had been the last anyone had heard of poor Hida Konaka.

"Eto... I have a few cuts, but water first is fine." Maiya responds to the unceremonious cleaning offer. The bundles she was carrying were set down so they wouldn't get wet. She stepped to the side and gave a nod.

Two servants run after the bushi, who can still be heard in the distance. "I LIKE BIG BUTTS! I CANNOT LIE! ALL YOU OTHER SAMURAI~!"

His voice cuts out as he's power tackled by the servants.

Maiya wished she could run her hand across her face without getting dried blood everywhere.

Hachi's face stiffens at the breach of decorum coming from down the road, then uses the bucket to pour over the two, the bloodier one first, then the other.

"A little late, but I am Hachi, of the Isawa. And we are in a bit of a state at the moment." He turns. "Towels!" Back to the bushi. "Come in, and rice will be provided - though it might be a few moments."

"Thank you... ano, please do see to your kin first, ne?" She was getting increasingly concerned by whoever was screaming. The voice almost sounded familiar. Almost. Too crazy for anyone she knew.

Glad to have most of the blood washed off, even if it'd need a more thorough clean before long, she would step inside when invited.

After collecting the bundles of course.

"Amaya-san, shall we?"

Hachi strides to the door, and looks in to the room. "Why has she not been gagged? Do it! Yes, I know she's trying to bite you. I will fix any bites. But gag her now!"

He walked back out. "My apologies. Again." He looks at the blood still slowly coming off the armor - or more accurately, from under it. "Do you require any healing?"
