On the latter part of the morning, Wasako could be found at the steps of the Dragon embassy with a simple ball of rice for breakfast. She watched the many colours who made Friendship Street their temporary home go about their business in the morning. It was fascinating and curious to see most of the clans here in one place, which she could only imagine what the Imperial Capital must feel. A sort of universal city where all the Clans shared one home. The idea was romantic in its own way, making it seem peace was an option.

The cold rain continued to pelt down on the city and she found shelter under a roof archway. It almost seemed this rain wasn't going to stop anytime soon, she began to wonder if there were going to be more problems down the road.

A familiar Scorpion wanders over.

"Hi."

Wasako perked up when she saw Kiku and roses from her seat at the steps. "Oh! Good morning, Bayushi-san. I don't think I've seen you since the gardens...how are you? I'm glad you've managed to make it here safely."

"It was a long walk. I think I may need a horse."

She looks up and down the street distractedly.

Wasako thought the woman was peculiar but chuckled nevertheless and nodded with her statement, "Yes, it has been a rather long walk. Given the urgency of the matter, we didn't get much of a break and I think I'm still dealing with the sores on my feet today. A horse would likely have made the journey easier...although I've never ridden a horse before myself."

She looked up and down the street, wondering if was missing something. "Could I be of service to Bayushi-san today?"

"Mmm. No."

She stands there awkwardly. Nothing about HER is awkward, just the situation.

After a bit, she looks up at the rain and sighs. "I have not ridden a horse, either. At least, not with the intent to learn."

She only met the woman twice but Kiku had already given her the impression that she was someone who got lost all to easily.

"I guess we've made do with our situation then..." She said and waiting for an awkward pause before speaking. "...Are you looking for someone? I haven't met too many people but perhaps I might know someone who could help you?"

"Looking? No. But open to the possibility of meeting someone. You?"

"I suppose I'm not exactly looking for someone at the moment either...but I too am open to the possibility of meeting someone," she nodded once at that. "If I wasn't, I don't think I could ever leave the mountains."

"Mmm."

She sits down on the steps next to the Dragon.

"I don't much care for the mountains. they are sparse."

Seeing as she's taking a seat, she decided to follow the same cue and return to her seat on the steps. "...Yes, they can be pretty sparse, even more so when it comes to people. Often, whoever is around you is whoever you're stuck with. So I suppose, it's been quite an experience meeting new people. I've introduced myself more times than usual here."

"I've always found it odd. My name tells you nothing about me. You know more from observing me than you do my name."

She scowls at the wet seat she's on, as if she didn't know it was wet when she sat.

"I feel we should know a person first, and then give a name to the thing they are." She shrugs. "A small preference, and one I do not act on."

Wasako paused to consider it before nodding soundly on the idea. "That's rather unusual of normal custom but admittedly a novel idea. It is obviously rude...you do have a point that a name doesn't really give much definition until you know the person truly. But I suppose there are times when the person doesn't wish to be known and all you have is a name to fall back on. Suppose they give you a name first and you know them at lengths through reputation, would you rather have reputation be also left out of the equation?"

"Mmm. A good question."

She thinks quietly and things for a time.

"I guess a name is just another clan or family mon."

She gave slow nod at that. "It could be, hai, although a Clan or a family mon would greatly proceed the person themselves. I suppose it's probably all the more reason why we're known by our Family name first."

"They're all generalizations, each more specific than the last." She shrugs.

"Why sit out in the rain?"

"Not completely in the rain," she chuckled as she pointed to the roofed archway they were sitting under. It didn't catch all of the rain but she wasn't exactly drenched either. "But, I figured maybe I could watch some people? It has also been a few days on the road and perhaps I might run into a few people from Toshi no Omoidoso. Again, I'm glad you've managed to make it safely here."

She shrugs. "Most of us did, because of the Lion."

She raised her brows on that note. "Oh...is that the case? That's good then. I suppose it was rather hard to get lost when following the road. Maybe people have just found themselves elsewhere now, it is still a sizeable city. I guess I'm just typically used to see anyone easily."
