Isawa Inugami decided to "decorate" the entrance of the Phoenix embassy placing a small wooden box, an incense holders, a small lit lamp and a piece of paper with a poorly drawn person. It is the thought that counts. It was an improvised altar for those who wished to honor those fallen. Yes, there was the shrine, but this one was a touch of personal. It gave those who passed the street a place to remember those Heroes.

As he was leaving, Hachi looked at the shrine, and recognized it for the heartfelt thing that it was. So, he joined in, doing his best to remember how to do this.

As he went along, he found it easy to do what was needed.

"Thank you, Hachi sama." The Isawa gave the man a bow. "I hope that this is enough for now to at least a peace the soul."

"I hope so. I would wish we had his ashes, but I doubt the army out there is likely to permit it, considering they have hung his head. Hmm. Wonder if it would be possible to ask for the rest to be returned for a proper cremation?"

"Hachi sama, can you tell me what happened last night?" He sighted. "I need to know if I have to apologize to anyone for my... actions."

"Let's see. You ran past a pair of Crab samurai, insisting we were after you, then when you were brought back in, informed them, in a confidential voice at the top of your lungs that we were planning to make you into scrolls, and that the pillars here were made of people. Then, we had you gagged, and tied to one of those pillars in your room."

At least I wasn't naked that time. "That explain a bit." He ran his had around his wrist. "Thank you, I know I will have it under control tonight. The loss of Asako sama must have hit me harder than I thought." For a Shiba trained the loss of an Isawa trained shugenja is quite a sad blow.

"mmm. The servants will have the tools necessary ready. Please remain in your room till you know that the Lord Moon has or has not affected you."

"Hai Hachi sama." He bowed to the Isawa. He looked at his poorly drawn picture and frowned. "Do you know of any painters that could make a better portrait of Asako sama?"

Hachi frowns slightly, then shakes his head. "Perhaps a Crane? I am not sure. I haven't seen any of our Artisans in town, and it would be hard to get one here now."

"Yeah... Maybe I'll go by the Crane Embassy tomorrow and see if there is someone who can make it." The Shiba trained Isawa sighed.

"Or take up painting. There are many good shops in town for papers and the like. Perhaps they have some for paints as well?"

"That is an option... but... me... paint?" He doubted his abilities in art. "No offense, Hachi sama but I don't think I am gifted in the arts."

"Yes, in Shiro Shiba. A friend tried to teach me but I got frustrated." He sighed. "Tried again when I went back... but it's not for me."

"At least you answer with knowledge, rather than just saying you can't because you didn't succeed on the first try. I've encountered that all too often, these past couple years."

"Trying things makes one more apt to self recognition and growth." He nodded. "I know I am not a great artist or have patience for it."

"Then, might I ask what skills you do have?"

The Isawa gave it a thought. "I know I am good with animals. I know a bit of how to play go. I pretty good at hunting." Or so he thinks.

"I have been told that go is the start of strategy. Have you training at that, too? Or considered requesting training for leading armies?"
