A wind kicks up as Tameaki speaks, dramatically rustling through his hair and clothes. He brushes his hair back into place, then looks back up at the others.

Degarashi nodded in Chen's direction. "I can assist in getting letters out to the proper locations if necessary. Few people look twice in my direction, and if we find a reliable method of identifying those affected, I can search in places many others might be denied access."

Sara was silent with all the high flying discussions, as she slipped in at the start, she bowed to everyone, and sat to the side, accepting the tea from her cousin.

"Yare, yare. This is why the Lion need the Scorpion, to help them of making fools of themselves." She listened patiently to what the Soshi magistrate was speaking. Innnteresting. Quite interesting.

When allowed to speak, she asked one thing. "Has anyone spoken to Shosuro-ue?"

At her question Chen looked up "I plan to speak with her later today if she is not too preoccupied to receive me."

Sara nodded. "Arigatou. As satisfying as it is to push the Crane to the side and kick time while they are down, Yogo-sama is correct that nothing good will come of this. The ban should be lifted, otherwise we will break off into many pieces that will be overwhelmed."

Tameaki nods as the Shosuro daimyo's wishes are relayed to the group, seemingly satisfied that his legal opinion is in line with the demands of upper management.

"They will ease their stance if the Crane can summon up the wisdom to recognize that the fault lies with them and own up to that," he says, "although that may be more difficult given that their leaders seem to be deciding to die rather than show the slightest hint of self-awareness. The Lion are too stubborn by far to accept anything less than that, as history has repeatedly shown."

Sip.

"'Need to defeat a Lion?'" he continues, quoting Shinriko. "'Study what his grandfather did.'"

The magistrate sighs, shaking his head.

"Obviously proper analysis of the situation and determination of the most probable paths to success is unneeded and unwanted," he says. "I'll take my leave, then - there is too much real work to be done, and the Steel Chrysanthemum is likely not in the mood to grant us much time in which to do it."

Tameaki stands, offers a slight bow to the room, and /exits.

Kitamaru liked nothing that just happened.

However it seemed Soshi-sama would follow Shosuro-ue's guidelines, and at the time felt no need to stop him.

With a bow to Sukima, the Shosuro asked for orders.
