Dressed in a white and light blue furisode, Horonigai waits for the other invitees to appear. Her designated room suited her status, but lacked from much of the pleasantries one would find in the major cities around. Nevertheless, the Seppun made sure to prepare things into an acceptable ,if not humble, set up. Tea ready to be done, a single bottle of sake and some delicacies to nib on. WIth a sorrowful look, the Imperial princess waits for the guests that make it there. |

Ryuji arrived promptly as he always does to any meeting. He scratched at the Seppun Princess' door and awaited to be acknowledged. |

"Douzo, come in." Horonigai says from inside, and then slides the screen open. "Konbanwa, Otomo-san. Please, treat me kindly." With a wave, she directs a comfortable seat for him. "Seppun Chiyo-san will not attend. I've received notice she's not in the city anymore. Although I don't have all the information." |

Ryuji entered and bowed deeply. "I am aware of Seppun-san. I certainly hope that she will be safe in these times." He took a seat on a cushion to her right. "How may I be of assistance this evening, Seppun-sama?" |

"I hope Inari-no-kami has blessed Otomo-san today." Horonigai takes a seat in seiza and aligns the cups for either tea or sake while mentioning the food. "Please, there's something to nibble on there. Our hosts have been generous." She returns to her place and smiles to him. "Ne, Otomo-san. I thought we could have more time to understand each other so we can better assist our Families while here at Nikesake." |

"It never does, Otomo-san." She smiles, calmly. Taking water for herself, Horonigai sips and then confirms to Ryuji. "Iie, ne. It is not. I merely wanted to get us together since it we are the most active Imperials attending court these days. I would like us to align, if possible." |

Ah...The point of this emerges... "Seppun-sama, We have an Empress. My duties are to insure that the one who sits on the Jade Throne have order and authority in the Empire." Another drink of water. "That is who and what I serve." |

Oblivious of the news on the next day, Horonigai simply looks at him and says. "I see." The Seppun, and specially the Miharu, are known to be fervent supporters of the Hantei line, as the rightful rulers blessed by the Heavens. more specifically those from other Hantei. "Kougou-heika does not sit on the Emerald Throne." |

She smiles. "It is a difficult position she's in. In any case, we have to do our best to protect the Imperial Heir. We cannot permit further Hantei blood to be spilt." Horogai produces some chopsticks and claps her hands, offering them a good meal. "Itadakimaaaasu~," she says immediately before pincering a deliciously looking sashimi. She brings it to her mouth, while the other hand politely covers any drops, and chews on it a bit. Sensing he used the ancient 'Hmmm...' technique of the Otomo –– like her own mother was trained to do –– the young maiden tries to connect with Ryuji using all the power of her cuteness when dining. |
