As the ancient curse says, "May You Get What You Want" The thought is mildly amusing. Previously, Erina had recommended a scouting force, someone to keep an eye out for any traps or enemy reinforcement. Now, she had what she wanted...with orders to stay well away from the fighting as much as possible. After all, the scout force was only able to report if they weren't in the middle of fighting. Still, Erina feels a twist of jealousy. There would be honor and glory aplenty today, and none would shine on her. Even if Duty compelled her to serve in the best way she knew how, no one sung the song of the Lion Who Slunk Along Outside the Battle. Kamu bonks her head against Erina's side, doing her best to cheer her master. Erina lets out a sigh and continues to scan the treeline and horizon, staying far away from the action at the gates. |

The kitties weren't the only one thinking of that night the governor gave permission. Norikami spotted Erina and her pride while he was about doing the same. With a wave in the distance, he made his way across the snow to her, keeping the rain off with his hat and cloak. |

"Bayushi-san." Erina lifted her chin in greeting. "I suppose that it's a comfort that I am not alone in missing the fight for the the greater good." The cries of ancestors begin to waft over in their direction and Erina lets out a shudder she hadn't expected |

"Oh? I was just out enjoying the weather", he said deadpan. He offered a nod of his own. Then looked out around the field, the snow was being slushed by rain and visibility wasn't really a thing. He looked back to Erina. "Someone has to watch for devious moves by the enemy, I suspect a Lioness with the keen senses of her pride perfect for the task." |

"I wouldn't set such blame unfairly, i was going to be here regardless", he offered and walked along with her. He was keenly aware of the danger the cats posed, but for then he felt assured by their handler's presence. |
