There are tracks in the snow showing where the undead creature veered off, heading deeper into the woods.

Spotting the tracks, the young Moto began to follow the undead creature's trail, as cautiously as he could. Horse did not seem pleased with this decision, but tolerated being urged to a slow walk as Baatar tracked the (probably man-eating and horse-eating) monster.

Horse had seen enough. The horse squealed in protest as its rider tried to make it follow the undead creature further, telling Baatar in no uncertain terms that it was definitely requesting a new rider when and if they returned to Unicorn lands.

"Fine, fine," Baatar said in a comforting tone, and began to turn back towards the castle.

Baatar makes it back to the town without any further incident.

Horse-kun is not pleased.

The Horse and its Moto rider were among the last through the gates before the Lion slammed them shut.

Once back in the stables, Horse gave its idiot rider another reproving look.

"Okay, okay," Baatar said placatingly. It took an extra ration of hay, followed by a couple of dried apples and an hour of grooming, before Horse's calm was restored. But considering the circumstances, the young Unicorn judged it appropriate.
