Erina, like most Lion, did not put much stock in the legends about this place. They had real supernatural problems to worry about, some fluke that happened generations ago didn't carry a ton a weight. However, it had been a sight for the Phoenix to practice, and Erina needed to keep up her skills. While the dojo was the usual place for Lion to train, Erina well...unique is her battle style. While the format of a duel would always be the same, her fighting was never going to be like the Akodo or even most Matsu. A Beastmaster fought as a pride. And, while exceptions could be made, two towering warcats often made people on edge in a dojo. Out here, on turf, was where true battles would be fought, and it was here that Erina wanted to keep prepared for. "Ore, hunt!" The warcat looks lazily up, not one to practice himself and bounded ahead, familiar with the drill. Kamu, with a practiced motion, took up a guard position on Erina's left side, as Erina worked through a kata, keeping her katana in close, short strokes. |

Erina looks nothing like a Matsu as she practices, with short steps, and a careful eye, sword back to a classic guard position. "Switch." She commands, pivoting back as Kamu takes a turn forward, baring her fangs and taking a practice swipe at the air. Erina works back in practiced paces as she guards the cat's flank. |
