While there are many bathhouses scattered throughout Toshi no Omoidoso, the Kakuna Onsen is the one most favored by visiting samurai at winter court. Located just a short walk from the castle, it provides excellent service with an open-air hot springs that remains warm (bordering on uncomfortably hot) throughout the year.
The natural sulfurous scents that typically accompany the onsen were traditionally banished by Phoenix shugenja; since taking control of the city, the Lion have been forced to make due with perfumes that mostly mask the mildly unpleasant odor.
