Eika and her two warcats decided to get some hunting in early morning in hopes of boosting the food stores. Worst case scenario, they would have a bit more to eat if they were stuck inside the walls.

Eika ordered one cat to sneak forward next to a clump of brush, then the other to rush it to flush any small game. That way, the sneaking lion could pounce on the scared creatures within.

A small Sika deer bounded out of the underbrush and right into the waiting claws of the lioness. Her mate finished it with a bite and dragged it back to Eika who swiftly field dressed it. Though she did not eat red meat, she didn't want it tainted by the innards. Her lions nabbed up the discarded portion.

Within little time Eika and her warcats managed to hunt down two pheasants and a serow. All were easily felled by the great felines, and dressed by their mistress. She brought them back within the walls, with the red meats for her and Erina's cats and the pheasants for dinner for some of the lion delegation.
