After storing his belongings in his Inn room, Osamu departed the city gates once again, there was somethign he wanted to look into and really inside the city was likely not the best place. Finding a small hill a ways away from the gate, he set hsi umbrella to the side, and let the rain fully drip down on him, as he turned his eyes towards the storm clouds above.

There has been reports of a sinuous form in the clouds, a Dragon prehaps? He had only caught glimpses himself. Still if it was there, it was almost certainly affectinn the weather. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath and sent out his sense to the nearby Kami. He didn't wish to change the weather, not at the moment. He did want to know if he could though, or if there was a stronger presence that had it under it's control.

((Using Child of the Sea, Expending one Air slot and a Void to see if I can have any effect on the weather. Do not want to try and change it at the moment if possible.))

The rain seemed stronger than usual, bolstered by some presence that Osamu could sense in the skies above.

Well, that answered at least one of his questions. It still left some others he needed answers to, though first would be finding the proper place to try.

Pulling out a scroll he read it allowed, and cast his senses out to the Water Kami nearby, Perhaps he would be able to find one of sufficent strtength to answer some questions for him.

The water in front of Osamu swirls into a large pool.

Seeing the water take form, Osamu nodded to himself and withdrew another scroll.

Perhaps this could answer a few of hsi questions?

"Kami -sama, could you tell me if there is a being flying in the clouds so heavy with rain above?" He asked, a moment later.

The water shimmers and shows Osamu a vision of a long, sinuous blue dragon flying through a rainstorm.

That was... breathtaking would likely be the right word, honestly though he was puzzled as to why the water dragon would be here though.

"Thank you Kami-sama." Osamu offered with a polite bow. "Would you know the reason for such an exalted beings presence in out realm?" The question was a long shot, but he felt he should at least try.

In the distance, Moto Baatar emerged from the city gates on his horse, and rode in Osamu's general direction. The young Unicorn gave the Mantis a friendly wave as he rode nearby.

"Just going to scout our back trail to see if there's any stragglers from the long march that need help making it to the city," Baatar explained. "Or maybe I'll spot the enemy, if any of them are getting close."

He knew that face, he had seen here in the healing tents a few nights prior. The question he supposed now was why exactly the woman had contacted the water dragon to bring down all this Rain upon them, he was fairly certain the Kami wouldn't have an answer to that though. Distracted as he, was Osamu hardly noticed the approach of the Moto, as he moved to ask his last question.

Which meant his next question would likely get no answers as he turned towards the familiar voice, and addressed him. "Do you think there are any of the enemy close?" It wasn't directed at the Kami but, in the midst of the spell they likely wouldn't be able to tell the difference. So they would answer as best they could, or the spell would fail

Baatar didn't seem bothered by Osamu's indifference; the Mantis was obviously busy with something. With a final (ignored) wave, he rode on.

Riding eastwards along the road from Toshi no Omoidoso, the young Moto searched for anyone who had been left behind during the march, or - perhaps more importantly - any signs of pursuit.

The waters swirl but do not reveal anything of note.

That was what he had expected from the waters, though his gaze shifted to follow the Unicorn as he rose away. It seems he hadn't been heard after all.

He thought about moving to purse the other man anyways, but chasing after a gorse horse didn't seem a wise idea.
