Three for two on drunken Crab (D10 EN)

Maiya got the door and immediately lurched into the room. She groggily reached up for her helmet, tugging it off and doing her best to gently drop it in the corner of the room near her daisho stand.

*Hic*

"Ama-chan, the door. Ne?"

The room was dark so she was relying on the moonlight coming in through the window to see. She helped maneuvered the courtier into the room further before looking around for something.

With a thud she sat down beside the lantern so she could get it going. Carefully. Even drunk she wasn't going to start a fire. It was hard without the oil.

*Hic*

"Need the oil. Ama-chan."

Yukarin really had drunk too much today. It was not the first time since she'd come to Nikesake, too. Maybe it was something about the name of the city having the word 'sake' in it being one of her famous signs from the Heavens. Or maybe something about being trapped in four walls quite literally made drinking all the more attractive an option.

Either way she'd refused to walk the rest of the way and was being carried on Amaya's back, murmuring lazily as she rode piggyback into the room.

The reason why Amaya is the one laboriously carrying Yukarin becomes apparent when the Yasuki's head just barely misses a collision with the upper portion of the door. The smaller Crab had not drunk just as much as the other and it is a small miracle how the two managed to avoid colliding with anything.

"Shtill there!" Is her cheerful reply, the door indeed precisely where Maiya had left it open. Yukarin is unceremoniously, but carefully dumped onto a cushion. Two years of being a Crab bushi are easily enough to leave Amaya a veteran in this particular sort of struggle.

"Shide offe bag, Ma-chan."

"Nuuu. Get the door Ama-chan. Close't."

Rubbing her face she crawled over to the side of the bag. After some fumbling she crawled away and over to her own bag. It wasn't beside Amaya's. Wrong bag!

"Kay~ foush it!" She declares happily as pivots around to face the lantern again. Now she crawled toward it.

*Hic*

Chuckling she shakes her head en route. "Theresh three o'dem."

Amaya turns and blinks at the yawning void right behind her. Right. Reaching out with one wavering hand, she makes the void go away to the sound of a wooden sliding door. That did it.

*hic*

She completes the circle by turning the remaining 180 degrees and staggering to her favourite cushion.

*flump*

And now she is sitting. Good. What is Maiya saying? There was a rule when that happens. What was it again? Ah! Right.

"Middle one." She relays the age old advice.

"Yesh! Good, yesh!" The advice rung true and Maiya managed, with a good deal of fumbling, to get some oil safely into the lantern. Then came the trouble of getting it lit.

"SHIMATTA."

The lantern was pushed to the side of the room as she didn't have a lit candle.

Instead she gets up with a big huff and moves to get the two futon out of the closet.

Having been placed on a cushion, Yukarin stretched out all her limbs, giving a pout as she looked up at the ceiling, "It'so late. An cold. Set it ALL on fire! No piddling fire will do."

"Theresh moonlit. Can see. Ish fine." Maiya responds whilst aggressively unfurling and flapping one of the futons around. She laid it down without worrying about making it neat. The second one soon followed.

Yukarin sat up to watch with a pout; Though the futons did look comfortable.

"Those are all for me, right? I jus wanna be a futon spring roll right now~"

"Embashies' gon be closhed. So. Yes. Hop in kay?"

Maiya moved the second futon to touch the first before sitting down and yawning loudly.

"Hope'n they don't needsh ush in the morning."

"I still want light," Yukarin said with a pout, even as she suddenly started stripping off her rain soaked clothes, "S'warm and hot an toasty and dries my nice stuff off~"

The dark blue and magenta kimono got tossed on an armor rack for now, the obi half tangling around Yukarin's ankles.

"Den go'an ask fer'a candle." Maiya directs the Yasuki, slightly swaying left and right. She held up a finger and, for a moment, managed to sound coherent. "I don't have one."

Since the courtier was getting ready for bed Maiya hazily realised she ought to as well. That meant her armour needed to come off. She began to undo the straps and bindings that kept it in place.

"Ama-chan, you too, kay?"

As she did this she also slid out her daisho and fumbled around until each weapon was on the rack. That they were facing the opposite way of each other wasn't noticed.

Amaya meanwhile had taken off her daisho and worked on propping it up carefully. No matter how drunk she may be right now, her mother's blade must be taken proper care of.

Being done with the task and hearing her cousin's request, the taciturn bushi turns towards Maiya. Looks like Mai-chan needs some help taking off the armour again. Still clad in her own, stumbles over to assist.

By this point Yukarin was dressed only in the white piece of cloth covering up her modesty, everything else hung up to dry in a very haphazard way. Walking over as the two Kaiu figured things out, she knelt down to pick up a blanket so to slide under the thing.

"Ara?" She noticed Amaya working on her armour and blinked a few times. That was helpful.

*Hic*

In return, once enough of her armour was off, she would help her cousin. A couple of times she awkwardly had to pick at a binding or tug at something, but the armour would come off.

Only then, as she was getting out of her slightly damn under kimono did she look back to Yukarin. The white piece of cloth was an anomaly. She shook her head, but that quickly made her vision blur. Instead, she crawled over to Yukarin to poke her.

"Your kimonosh real small, desssho?" She states with a funny smile before having another big stretch and yawn. Then she lifted up the flap of her futon.

"Here." For emphasis she patted the futon and wiggled the pillow about. "Ish warm."

Looking down at where it was poked, Yukarin nodded, "Yeah... that might be best to take off too. Off you go!"

She tried slipping out of the underwear but it was harder than she thought with her tiredness and lack of coordination. Getting it off one leg was enough for her, and the white linen thing ended up hanging around one ankle as she slipped under the covers.

"Warm an dry is good, yes~"

Maiya helpfully moved to touch Yukarin's leg and slip off the garment. "There!" She chuckled as she dropped it atop the Yasuki's other clothes.

*Hic*

With that out of the way she returned her attention to herself. Languidly shifting to kneeling she reached behind herself to tug loose her obi. Thankfully, it was only a simple knot. Her kimono cords were undone next and then she got up to hang it up. Then she lurched over to the window to shut it. The room was now much, much darker.

Running a hand through her hair she looked for her futon. There were only two. She'd just have to share one. That made perfect sense to her in that moment, the logic not really coming together in her current state. She picked the one closer to the window.

Pulling at the cloth strip around her chest she let it unravel as she kneeled back down and crawled over to the futon. Giving Yukarin's face a couple stiff pats, and then doing the same to her body over the futon to check where it was, she flicks the top flap open enough she can wiggle in.

It was toasty. She hunkered down and practically purred.

"S'good. Oyashuuumi naaasaiii." She announces, wrapping an arm around around her sleeping buddy. That felt nice.

"Will wakes you up Ama-shan. Sleep tight Kay?" She mumbles as her eyes begin to close.

Yukarin doesn't really react much; She is slightly annoyed for a few moments as the covers are lifted a bit. But she doesn't even have time to gripe about it before something warm and soft slid under the covers with her. Yawning, she turned in the cover wrap so her face was pressed into something even warmer and softer.

"Mmmf... yeah, this will do." she murmured muffledly as Maiya was pulled into her.

"Nngh? Kaaay..." Maiya adjusted her posture to sleep sideways, tugging the other woman into her and idly stroking her body. It was warm and soft; such a rarity to a Hida trained bushi.

*Hic*

Her eyes blink flutter open and closed a few times as she gets comfy again. Feeling warmth with the rain still coming down hard outside was lovely.

With a dreamy sigh she nuzzled her head into Yukarin's as she tugged the futon up, her other hand petting down the Yasuki's back.

"Oyasumi..." She whispers as her eyes close again. Feeling a little chilly around her bare toes she slides her feet around Yukarin's. It was like being partially surrounded by a hot blanket.

It wasn't even a minute before Yukarin was asleep, breathing lightly against Maiya's skin, flopped into her, her light body cradled into the taller stronger one.
