The silence became noticeable. Even Maiya noticed it and she chuckled dryly. "Ano, sorry. Maybe I should have had another hour's rest this morning? I don't know what that was." She tried to move past it, deciding it must have been her seeing things after not getting as much sleep as she evidently needed.

"Go to sleep earlier?" Amaya suggests in return. It is what she plans to do, considering her own constant struggles when it comes to sleeping well.

"Yeah, maybe. Or a lay in." She chuckled a bit as her earlier good mood returned.

"The streets are going to get dirty as more people come if this rain doesn't stop. I hope it ends later today." It wasn't showing any sign of slowing down.

"Dirty? Muddy." Amaya corrects softly, already seeing the first signs of it. The rain is making things very much not pretty or pleasant.

"No more rain would be good."

"Muddy, hai." The Lion really needed to lay down some wood chips or sawdust at this rate.

"Agreed. We can hardly return home with it raining the whole time either. The journey here took weeks."

"Then we are stuck here for now." Amaya concludes and extends one leg to watch the rain fall onto her mud splattered boot. "With this much mud ... the journey could take months."

"Well, we couldn't be faulted for it at least."

She turns to Amaya and smiles.

"At least the inn we're staying at has good food. And the baths are nice, ne? It's really pleasant here even with an enemy nearby."

"Would be unpleasant if." She concurs with a shrug.

"Yes. Food is good. Bath is extra good. Enemies are nothing much. More still arriving though, so who knows."

"We'll cut them like katsuramuki!" She declares with a sharp laugh. Lifting her fist she holds it before both of them as she gives Amaya a nod.

"I'll watch your back if you watch mine Ama-chan."

"Enemies are not food, Mai-chan." The younger Crab admonishes with a little grin. "Carve them up like Firewood. Burn them."

"We fight together. We stand together."

"Let's stand now then. We can carve them up like firewood later." The older Crab retorts back with a big smile. "We should get out of this rain. We've got an umbrella now."

Hopping up she offers her cousin a hand.

They would then make their way back to the inn they were staying at.

For Amaya it is more of a hopping down, but she cheerfully accepts the offered hand underneath the small painted paper shelter from the cold rain.
