"Ahh, the majestic eagle, soaring high to greet Lady Sun, shimmering feathers of gold in the Lady's light when seen from below, casting wide shadow down upon the land: a small creature from such a long distance away, yet upon closer inspection, wingspans that from tip to tip can dwarf even the largest of Crab warriors in height," he described with a grin as he slowly waved his free hand in a large semi-circle over top of his head as if providing a visual account. The peafowl moved its head in the same motion as well until Asakuro put his hand down. Seemingly having its fun for now, Mamoru went back to picking at the green leafy scraps left in the bowl.

"I have read tale or two about birds even mightier in size than the eagle that dwell in the deep mountains, so large that they would dwarf the mightiest Crab even standing next to them if not have ability to pick them up themselves, though whether that is mere tale or not I cannot say."

"Hopefully just tales," he added with a nod as he moved to refill his teacup. From what his clan had told him of the lands of the Yobanjin, however... perhaps there was some truth to it. He also offered to refill the Asako's cup if desired as well.

"If one excludes the peafowl, of course... I am quite fond of the nightingale. It is not mighty like the eagle, swift as the falcon, stands in beautiful form as the crane. But oh, the songs that they sing: simple, complex, harmonious, dissonant, ever-changing and ever-wonderful to listen, especially in number where they call out in chorus."
