The rain was still the rain, no amount of wishing would change that. Rather than being a running fool, Kitamaru embraced fortune and strode across the street in the rain. The shrine would be open, and that was good, as the Shosuro had much to think about. Perhaps a monk would make do for conversing should time permit. It did not take long to see what the Scorpion truly sought, though.  Kitamaru sat before the "shrine" and stared. |

A shake of the head. In every post Kitamaru had served there was always a reason. They were unlucky. The ambassador was allergic. Kitamaru seemed too eager and it made his charge suspicious. It was unfair and stupid. |

"Oh? You would like to?" She smirked. "Since it was disallowed to hunt rats, it preferred to mail my sister." She let out a low laugh. "Just small scratches, but it was always able to distinguish between the two of us." |

Kitamaru looked away, rather abruptly and faced the beckoning cat again. There seemed to be a great deal of thought going on...or maybe not. The Shosuro's hands were clenched tightly on their kimono though at the thigh. Were it not silk, and sturdy at that, it likely would have ripped already. |

Sara glanced around, and when she saw no one, she slowly moved closer, her hands reaching around to find his. She whispered into his ears. "We are family, cousin. You can relax." A heavy smell of flowers wafted over her cousin. |

The fox mask turned and faced Sara. At such close range, she might even see his eyes, plain and average as can be. The fox mask's nose bopped the woman on her lips. "This one is relaxed, your scent is calming, thank you." The mask turned away and resumed viewing the beckoning cat. |

Kitamaru's decison was not taken lightly. There was a matter of protocol when dealing with Scorpion women like Sara. The Shosuro removed his hat and instead of skittering away, leaned on the woman, much like a good boy would when faced with such comfort. "Hai." The manner of trust shown might be unnerving to some. |

With a sudden movement, Kitamaru stood and turned to face Sara, blocking view of the little figure. A step back and he leaned on the small pedestal it rested on. The Scorpion seemed to laugh silently, one finger drawn up to the fox mask, pantomimed shushing. The other hand was behind. It wasn't very slick, but showed dedication regardless. When Kitamaru stepped away from the pedestal, the cat was gone. The shushing hand opened, covering the fox mask mouth in mock disbelief. |

Sara responded in in silent and exaggerated disbelief, looking around Kitamaru with wide eyes. Holding her hands to her face, she couldn't help it longer and let out a laugh. "You so bad Kita-kun." |
