The Asako hero-sage was here trying to find anything he could use to help in the battle against the forces of Toshigoku... or they would all be overwhelmed by violence and blood and we will do the work of the slaughter spirits for them.

He knew he had to find a solution.

Now she looked annoyed. "That is unfortunate. I had hoped such unpleasantness could be set aside. Hopefully, our clan does not get pulled between them."

"Yes, I want to find a way to fight these spirits, either through wards or magic or through empowering our weapons to push them back. Anything to give our people an edge over these invaders from Toshigoku. That is our mission, the clans can tear each other apart but the Phoenix will save the Empire or die trying,” he commanded.

Miwako looked around at the collection of scrolls, realizing just how difficult this would be. It would take time.
