The Blue Tiled Room is a gathering place for scholars and philosophers that draws visitors from all across Rokugan. During the day, courtiers and intellectuals gather to discuss topics such as the mythology of gaijin cultures and how it relates to Rokugani theology, the value of happiness in relation to duty, and, most recently, whether an Emperor who returns from death is still the Emperor.

The room itself is most akin to a large circular room with a raised dais at its center. Cushions and pillows surround the dais, providing places for people to sit and watch discussions as they play out. Audience participation is not only allowed but encouraged.
