Since the goal is different areas of concern, as well as most texts, I have both theology and Elements as Lore skills. I am also pretty good at Calligraphy (Inherited a calligraphy set). |

I am doing Elements, Spirit Realms, and Great Clans Phoenix, I can adjust the latter two but I have Elements at 3. I have Sage. |

i've got Sage, so i can fill in whatever gaps are needed in the lores. Passable at all the rolls, but more then a single raise, maybe two might be pushing it, but i have akasha to spend on each roll, and depending on MS ruling might be able to give everyone else an extra phantom void point to spend. |

Beyond strategizing to get different Lores on the board, it looks like the choke point for most people is likely to be Calligraphy. If you run up the total in the three Lore rolls, you've got to shoot the moon on the single Calligraphy check or lose a bunch of your points! So people with Sage and good Int will probably do fine (even with only 1 effective rank in whatever Lore skill) calling conservative Raises to avoid getting stuck with worthless books in pt. 1, then putting Void etc into the Calligraphy roll since it's the hard one. Myo-en has Omens, History, and Spirit Realms, the Ki-rin tattoo, and lots of Void, but is remarkably bad at Calligraphy (even with pretty good luck she can probably only pull off 15-20 or so books on that stage), and I've done an event, so I'll probably kick back unless we have real trouble finding a fifth helper.... |

Only 3 Int, and 3 in Elements, and 2 in Theology, but like mentioned, have the inheritance for calligraphy rolls, giving me base 7k4 for that. Sadly, no applicable spells or kihos. If another can beat that, I'll drop to let them in. |

So far we have claimed: Ghost, Spirit realms, Phoenix Clan, Elements, Omens, Shugenja, Fish (Mundane), Fish (Tropical) Shakanar will Take Heraldy, Architecture, and Clan Crane if no one else has better? |

I have 6k3 for the Elements roll, and will have to void for the other two (better to go +1k0, or 1k1, no raises?). Then I have base 7k4 for the calligraphy. |
